Give praise to the LORD, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Psalm 105:1 We wish you and your family a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving! May God Bless each and everyone of you!
I created this video in response to God's call to do more than pray for my community and nation. This is my commitment to follow God with my actions as well as my thoughts.
The Tower of Babel was built on the plain of Shinar. It failed because it was built on bad theology! And it is unfortunate that much of what the church has built over the years is set on that same foundation. Jesus said that He would build His church, but that foundation is the Rock.
Mother and daughter, Jita and Elizabeth Kathryn, are lifting up their hearts as they praise Jesus in their living room! It wasn’t long before we were worshipping along with them to this favorite classic hymn.
“His Eye is On The Why should I feel discouraged, why should the shadows come,
Why should my heart be lonely, and long for heaven and home,
When Jesus is my portion? My constant friend is He:
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
I sing because I’m happy,
I sing because I’m free,
For His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.”
Juanita “Jita” and her daughter Elizabeth Kathryn are no strangers to singing good ol’ gospel praise. Social media accounts show them leading worship at local churches and conferences. There is no doubt that these ladies truly have a heart and passion for the Lord! We love hearing their voices raised in praise and harmonizing so beautifully too. There is something truly special about seeing a mother and daughter not only singing together but worshipping the Lord and lifting His name in praise!
“Let not your heart be troubled,” His tender word I hear,
And resting on His goodness, I lose my doubts and fears;
Though by the path He leadeth, but one step I may see;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
Performing “You’ve Got A Friend”, Maddie Poppe and Caleb Lee Hutchinson blend their vocal strengths beautifully in this Carole King folk classic. The pair met while competing on American Idol, Maddie winning the competition and Caleb coming in as the runner up.
After meeting on the television show, it was clear that the talented Maddie (20) and Caleb (19) were fast friends. Their vocal style lends perfectly to duets and there is a clear charisma between them. Caleb starts out the famous tune with his deep drawl. His voice lends perfectly to this acoustic song. With a little smile and glance towards to Maddie we can’t get enough of these two.
“When you're down and troubled / And you need some love and care / And nothing, nothing is going right / Close your eyes and think of me / And soon I will be there / To brighten up even your darkest night”
Maddie joins Caleb as he begins the familiar chorus.
“You just call out my name
And you know wherever I am
I'll come running, to see you again
]Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there
You've got a friend”
Filling in the interlude, Maddie and Caleb joke with each other before Maddie tackles the next verse. Seeing these two friends performing this supportive ballad is great for a huge smile! We can’t wait to see more from the pair and hopefully an album!
As they finish their performance, Caleb ad-libs the lyrics: “All you gotta do is call, and I’ll be there, I sure will, Maddie...You’ve got a friend!” and Maddie responds with her own “and I’ll be there, yes I will, Caleb, you’ve got such an awesome, perfect [girl] friend!”
Carlos Rodriguez wasn't supposed to be at his house that Monday. But thanks to divine intervention, this godly man was home when a neighbor in dire need rang his bell. And what he did next made him a hero. He'd never even been officially trained, but he prayed and performed CPR in front of Jesus portrait, and it saved a dying baby's life!
Carlos had stayed home from work that week because he had family visiting from out of town. Because of that, Carlos would be at his house when he normally wouldn't have been.
Down the street, Carlos' neighbor ran out of her home screaming. Then she ran straight to Carlos' home, running past several other houses. This was not a coincidence--it was divine intervention!
What Carlos saw when he opened the door would haunt him for months afterward. His neighbor was standing on his porch in hysterics clutching her lifeless baby. All the baby's mother could utter to Carlos was one word, "water."
She had left her 13-month-old son alone in the bathtub for just a moment, only to return and find him floating."He was completely lifeless. His body was a different color. He was blue. He had no pulse."
Carlos rushed the baby into the house, silently praying as he started administering CPR. He'd never received official training but had self-taught himself CPR skills by watching YouTube videos when he had his first child.
“I knew enough,” he said. After a few moments, the baby started to breathe. Shortly after, the first responders would arrive. They all agree that Carlos had saved the baby's life. "It was amazing. It was awesome just to look him in the eye and know that he’s alive," said Rodriguez. "It’s probably one of the greatest moments in my life."
It wasn’t until after the fact that Carlos realized where he'd ended up taking the drowned baby. He’d performed CPR in front of a portrait of Jesus Christ.
“God definitely had a big part in this,” Carlos said. "Later I asked her, 'why did you come to my house', and she said that God guided her here."
Carlos was terrified by what almost happened to that poor baby. "I have three little kids," Carlos said, "and just to have them lifeless and not know if they’re going to come back, it’s so scary."
The idea tormented Carlos so much that he struggled with fear of giving his own children baths for a while after the incident. Then he became inspired to use the traumatic events for good. He shared his story, and 20 of his friends and family members went to get CPR certified!
Now he's encouraging everyone to become CPR certified. "I think it’s just so important to raise awareness about knowing how to do CPR, because like it happened to me. You just never know when you’re going to be in a position where you have to save a life," Carlos said.
“Somebody could literally come to your door with a baby that’s lifeless and ask you for help,” he said.
Country star and musical prodigy, Roy Clark is remembered fondly by so many. The beloved host of the television show “Hee Haw” was known for his hilarious skits but respected for his incredible talent. As talented performers look back on their interactions with Roy Clark, it’s clear that he was also a good friend.
“Just heard Hee Haw Star / Super Picker #RoyClark just passed away. Saw him last when we filmed #CountrysFamilyReunion He was always so kind. Heaven gained another amazing addition to the Angel Band. Rest In Peace Roy” tweeted Rhonda Vincent.
"Roy Clark was one of the greatest ever," Dolly Parton said in an emailed statement to Billboard. "His spirit will never die. I loved him dearly and he will be missed."
Roy Linwood Clark was born in Meherrin, Virginia in 1933. His father worked the railroad but was also known to be a talented guitar, banjo and fiddler player. As a child, Roy would accompany his father at local square dances. By age 14, he had won two national banjo championships and an invitation to the Grand Ole Opry!
It was Roy’s father who gave him an important piece of advice, ‘Never turn your ear off to music until your heart hears it — because then you might hear something you like.'”
Roy officially got his start in the late 1940’s as a member of the Grandpa Jones band playing banjo and touring with the likes of Hank Williams. From there, he continued his run playing on radio and television on the East coast until being hired to play lead guitar in the house band for “The Jimmy Dean Show” (then called “Country Style”). It wasn’t long before this incredibly talented musician and jokester had moved West and scored his own record contract with Capitol. Not surprisingly, his debut album was titled “The Lightning Fingers of Roy Clark!”
More than all of his talent, Roy will be remembered for being a stand up guy. Known in the industry as “easy to get along with”, Roy quickly made a name for himself that will go beyond his music. He was truly loved by those who knew him and will be remembered for his dazzling smile and friendly demeanor.
"The next chance you get, do somethin' nice for somebody - say 'good day,' hold a door open - and don't wait around for a thank you... you don't need it." — Roy Clark
Mike & Dooley talk about the concept of "Edification" and what the world might look like if we all put it into practice. There's also a funny blooper reel at the end!
This father and son duo continue to garner attention as they share their vocal talents with the world. Andrea Bocelli and son, Matteo now share the behind-the-scenes look into their famous duet “Fall On Me”.
Andrea Bocelli’s newest album release “Sí”, has quickly risen to the top of the “must haves” for the music lover. But Andrea’s star-studded collaborations on the album (Josh Groban, Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa) aren’t what’s garnering the most attention. Instead, fans are completely smitten with Bocelli’s son, Matteo who appears to be the image of a young Andrea. With striking good looks and friendly charm, Matteo has quickly gained his own following of fans who adore his voice!
“Fall On Me” reflects a parent’s love for their child so perfectly. The song is featured in the end credits of Disney’s “The Nutcracker and The Four Realms” which just hit theatres. Andrea and Matteo are beautifully suited for this song. Their voices naturally blend and together they have created such tight harmonies that intensify the bond that is felt while watching them perform.
This behind-the-scenes video is such a touching glimpse watching as Andrea and Matteo connect when not performing. It’s a family event as the father and son pair getting dressed for the “Fall On Me” video with help from Andrea’s wife, Veronica. Matteo practicing at the piano this behind-the-scenes offers a sweet glimpse into the passion that drives the Bocelli’s talent. More importantly are the gentle gestures, the genuine smiles when the other is singing, the light hand on the shoulder, or a lean against one another. It’s so encouraging to see these two caring for one another and enjoying their moment as a father and son duo!
Kid Yodeler Mason Ramsey took the internet by storm when his performance of “Lovesick Blues” in the middle of a Walmart went viral. Taking the stage with Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood at the CMA Awards, Mason Ramsey adorably posed as Carrie’s son and sang his heart out. Affectionately called “Little Hank” for his striking vocal resemblance to country great Hank Williams, Mason Ramsey is quickly rising as a household name.
As with any Awards show, the CMA’s insert deliberately hokey scripts between sets. In this silly segway, Paisley jokingly announces that “Carrie’s first born son” is coming out to perform for the audience. Cue kid yodeler, Mason Ramsey dolled up in his traditional Hank Williams styled western shirt with tassels and 10-gallon hat. Singing a spoof about being a new big brother at Christmastime (no, he’s not Carrie’s son) to the tune of ‘Lovesick Blues’, Mason easily stole the show!
“I’ve got the big brother blues, oh Lawdy, used to be an only child, and now I don’t know what to dooooo….And all those presents underneath the tree, now they ain’t all for me!”
Playing along well with seasoned performers, Paisley and Underwood, “Lil’ Hank” kept up quite nicely. This kid definitely has a unique star power about him! Even famous child star Brenda Lee has something to say about Mason!
“Mason is very talented, and seems very comfortable with his new fame and loving what he does,” says Brenda Lee, one of the first-ever country music child stars who, like Mason, recorded Hank Williams’ “Jambalaya.” She too was 11 at the time, in 1956.
We hope to see more of the kid yodeler and that he continues loving music and singing out those classic country tunes we all know and love!

She and her current husband minister in a Christian Rock band called Bearing Armor.
Nancy Abell couldn’t stop worrying after she came across Katharina Groene alone in the woods. And it’s a good thing. The mother’s instincts saved a young hiker from certain death!
Nancy was out for a walk on the Pacific Crest Trail in Washington State when she came across a young hiker from Germany. The hiker’s name was Katharina Groene. And as the two struck up a conversation, Katharina told Nancy a bit about her journey so far. What Nancy didn’t know was the reason Katharina had traveled all the way from Germany to the U.S. to complete the hike.
“I lost faith in humanity,” Katharina said.
As Katharina filled Nancy in, she also shared her plans to continue hiking alone up to the Canadian border. And this immediately sent off all the alarms in Nancy’s mom brain!
“She was from Germany. She had no idea what she was getting into,” Nancy explained.
Having already walked the first 2,500 miles of the trail alone, Katharina had no intentions of stopping. Try as Nancy might to convince her otherwise, Katharina had made up her mind. Nancy continued to worry about Katharina. Knowing the young girl didn’t have any snowshoes, she kept a close watch on the weather. And when the forecast showed two-feet of snow on its way, she couldn’t ignore her fear any longer. It was a tricky sell to 911. Technically, Katharina wasn’t missing and Nancy was a stranger. But somehow, she managed to convince emergency teams to take her hunch seriously.
When the Snohomish County Sheriff’s department finally located Katharina, right where Nancy suggested they look, they found her frostbitten and freezing to death. Had they not found her when they did, responders estimate she only had about another day of life left.
Thank God! This mother’s instincts saved a young hiker from death certain death.God brings people together for different reasons. And clearly, He pulled these two together for a much bigger purpose!
These teens are making a difference in their community by making urns for homeless Veterans so that their remains may be respectfully laid to rest. This touching act of giving back, started in a New Mexico high school shop class taught by teacher Gino Perez. Mr. Perez a U.S. Navy Veteran, explained it started when he noticed many of the homeless Vets had unclaimed ashes and no real urns.
Perez, said “I thought to myself it would be a lot more honorable [for these Veterans] to hand craft an urn that they could then put these cremated remains in.” A student shared, “It hit me kind of hard. These people needed a home other than a plastic container.”
The students embraced the service project, with record participation numbers. Under Perez’s instruction simple but beautiful hand crafted boxes were cut, shaped, sanded, and varnished by each student. In the center some boxes were even adorned with a circular metal emblem denoting the military service of the Veteran.
“One piece of wood can be something special, one regular person CAN do something special.”
One of the students enthusiastically involved with the project also became a recipient of this blessing. This student, Juan Pacheco, was also in need of an urn for his Veteran father. It was a remarkable turn of events when the shop teacher found that this project was also going to be a direct blessing for one of his students. At the same time it was an emotional and honorable endeavor for Juan who now had the opportunity of hand crafting the final resting place for his father. Mr. Perez and his students should be commended for this much needed and very heartfelt way of giving back to our Veterans in need.
Sometimes even a flash mob is not what it seems. At a busy train station, Adam orchestrates a Flash Mob surprise orchestra proposal for his girlfriend, Mlayne. Thinking she was going through Waterloo Station to meet family and friends for her birthday, Mlayne was in for quite the surprise!
As the video opens, a woman in stunning red dress is standing in the middle of the bustling station. Looking at her watch, it’s clear that she is also holding a conductor’s baton. A solo violinist is filmed walking up to the woman with his violin and case in hand, he hands the case off to a passerby (hint: It’s Adam!). As the musician begins playing the familiar “Hallelujah Chorus” from Handel’s “Messiah” other musicians begin appearing around Adam and Mlayne until they were surrounded by a stunning orchestra!
Once everyone was in place, the song seamlessly morphed into the contemporary song “Just the Way You Are” by artist Bruno Mars.
“When I see your face
There's not a thing that I would change
'Cause you're amazing
Just the way you are
And when you smile
The whole world stops and stares for a while
'Cause, girl, you're amazing
Just the way you are”
As the song concludes, Adam opens the violin case he was holding to reveal the surprise message inside: “Will You Marry Me” with a red rose attached. Mlayne, already in tears from the flash mob, said YES and the joyous occasion was marked with whistles and cheers from the surrounding crowd. Congratulations to the happy couple and may God bless their upcoming nuptials!
