John 15:13 - Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
Nothing demonstrates this better than Yeshua’s Passion. I wrote this years ago, as a poem that described the event in greater detail. Turning it into a song took much more time that it did to write the poem. I hope that each person who listens to it, receives the blessings of their Savior, whether they accept His gift of salvation or not. Listen to the end and be blessed. Upon my poetic journey he taught me many lessons. I was stiff necked, and fairly set in my ways, but God knew how to break down my palisades and speak right to my heart. This song began as a poem, But the Lord inspired me to put it to melody and music. I learned a lot from this lesson, and that may have been it's only purpose, but I like to share the lessons that touched me, just in case anyone else needs it too.
Have you ever met a stranger that just seemed different, more enlightened than the average Joe or Jane? Someone who was there when you were in need, but once your problem was resolved, they disappeared? There's a song by Alabama called "Angels Among Us" that touches on the "here today, gone tomorrow" stranger who guides us through a storm. Sometimes these "strangers" are regular people, and sometimes they're more. If you like my song, please consider hitting the "Like" button and leaving a comment. Thank you, and God bless.
This song is based on a Christian story written many years ago. The story touched me, and I wanted to bring it to life in song. Naturally, changes had to be made, but the premise remains the same. A song about faith and love, and a choice that takes both to correctly make! As physical beings we tend to conduct our lives from the surface. Our five senses keep us bobbing on that surface with the buoys. So it's difficult for us to see the depths of a choice like this! It sounds better if we make the opposite choice, but if it's an angel delivering a message from God, and we see and hear that angel, the choice must be made the way it is in this song. After my NDE in 1992, God inspired me to turn my love for writing lyrics into a love for poetry. He would give me an inspiration, and I'd sit down at my computer and start writing. I'd have the whole poem mapped out in my mind. I knew exactly what I wanted to say, until God (my Muse) nudged me in one direction or another. By the time I reached the end of the poem, it was nothing like I'd planed. Having contemplated suicide in my youth, I felt that I should warn people away from the edge of that cliff. With this poem (Junk) I wanted my main character, a young woman standing on a cliff's edge, to encounter the spirit of someone who actually did throw themselves over the edge. I wanted the lost soul to scare her with their own post suicide experience. I thought it was a good plot line, but God had other Ideas. The poem is more detailed than the song, but the song still holds to the premise. If you like my song and the story, perhaps you would consider clicking the like button, and leaving a comment. Thank you, and God bless.

Tommy’s Prayer is not just a song—it’s a spiritual lifeline. Born in the quiet hours of pain and clarity, this track carries the voice of someone who’s walked through fire and still chooses surrender. It’s not polished—it’s pure. A prayer wrapped in melody.
Testimony Moment: I didn’t write this to be heard—I wrote it to be honest. When words failed, this prayer rose. Jesus didn’t just comfort me—He called me deeper. This is my response. My cry. My yes.
If you’ve ever prayed through tears, this is for you. If you’re still waiting for peace, let this song hold space for you. Headphones on. Heart open. Let the Spirit speak.

🕊 King of Kings is more than a worship song—it’s a cry from the trenches. Born in grief, refined by faith, and delivered with the voice of someone who’s lived the rescue. If you’ve ever needed Jesus to show up when no one else could, this is for you.
💬 Testimony Moment I didn’t write this to perform—I wrote it to survive. Jesus didn’t just save me—He rebuilt me. This is my offering, my surrender, my crown laid down at His feet.
🙌 Drop a 🙌 if He pulled you out too. 💔 Share your story if you’re ready. 🎧 Headphones on. Heart open. Let the King speak.

The story of a boy with an invisible friend who becomes mysteriously ill. His parents thought he was silly for believing in invisible beings, and tried to discourage it. That's when the boy fell into a coma, and the song began telling his story.
People often say: if they were the creator of the universe, they'd do things differently than the actual Creator. Naturally, we aren't coming from a Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent, and Omnificent, perspective. We don’t know how our choices would affect the overall fabric of creation. We say what we say, and believe what we believe, based on a perspective that sees no deeper than the surface. This song attempts to look deeper, in order to understand why God allows us to proudly charge into the outer darkness, where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth. If He were to disregard our choices and force us into heaven, it would violate His “free will” covenant with humanity. Just as we are free to choose our next meal, we are also free to reject God, heaven, and the salvation of Jesus. We go where we chose, in life, to go.
Marilla Ness' version deserves to be a stand alone, not as the third part of my previous video, so I have put it into this version. Revision of the Norwegian text by myself, last night (9-10-25).

This song was written by Keri Jones and David Matthews, and people have wished they' added more verses. Well, in Norway, they did, so that explains why the texting doesn't always seem to match. I have put together 3 versions of it, and at the end comes Jesus take me as I am, where I have tweaked some of the Norwegian version, but did not actually write the original.
No proper recording of the original choral arrangement seems to have survived, but it made a mighty finale to John Steffensen's second musical.
Melody and Bible-text re-wording: John Steffensen, using the 1978 Norwegian bokmål translation.
Adonai,You know all my heart and fathom me!
Where I sit and when I stand, Aware of it
My mind seen and mapped out beforehand.
Adonai, You know all my heart and fathom me!
If I walk or lay me down, discerning it,
Preserving my coming and my going.
Before the word is on the tongue-tip
Hearing it, everything I say!
Under, over, covering me
You have kept your hand on me.
Under, over, covering me
You have kept your hand on me.
’Tis far too wonderful for the telling.
’Tis far too high For me ever to understand.
Under, over, covering me
You have kept your hand on me
Where can I flee Far from your presence?
Where can I cower from your visage?
If I follow the Milky Way, -You are there! You are there!
If I follow the Milky Way -You are there! You are there!
If my hide-out I make in Hell, —you are there!
Though I try the wings of morning on
And fly away where sky meets ocean
Your Spirit still awaits me there!
The hollow of Your hand Encloses me And if I say:
“Let darkness cover me,The daylight around me be night!”
The dark is as clear as dawn to You!
The dark is as clear as dawn to You!
The night is as clear as morning,
The dark of night, as brightest day.
Ransack me God.
Discern my thinking.
Sift to the heart of my very most soul!
Discover where I Cling to roads of wrong,
And take me the paths everlasting.
The language is deliberately somewhat archaic.
This is a more contemporary version of "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel" (EDM). This is a classic song hoping for Christ to come. Christ came to show people the way to God. He died, for the sins of the world, and rose from the dead. Christ will come again to renew the whole world.

D G D A
May the three fold cord entwine you,
D G D A
May the three fold fabric tell,
D G D A
Of the heart that beats to find you,
G A G A D
To restore you and make you well.

Cord of the Father, cord of the Son,
C D G A
Cord of the Spirit, Three in One.
May the cord of Father hold,
Draw you gently to his breast.
Not to harm you or to scold you,
But to give you perfect rest.
May the cord of Christ uphold you,
Watching lest you stumbling fall.
May the Word of God enfold you,
Save you from temptation's call.
May the cord of Spirit bind you,
Gentle as the cooing dove,
Soothing every hurt behind you,
Till you know that God is love.
