I am not exactly sure what translation he was reading from but there are a couple versions that speak of a first and second beast, for example:<br /><br />Berean Study Bible<br />The second beast was permitted to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship it to be killed.<br /><br />and <br /><br />New International Version<br />The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.<br /><br />While the KJV reads:<br /><br />King James Bible<br />And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.<br /><br /> John 12:40 <br /> He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. <br /><br />Romans 11:7 <br /> What then?
