Jeff Allen responded hysterically to his homeowner’s association’s strict rules. The popular comedian admitted he had several run-ins with his HOA, and he finally found the perfect way to get back at the meddling, intrusive organization. Even though housing prices continue to skyrocket across the country, most people still dream of buying a house of their own someday. Home ownership is, or at least it used to be, part of the American dream. For those who are able to afford a house, potential home buyers are likely to notice one major thing about the homes they are eyeing. It’s that those homes are in neighborhoods that are part of HOAs. Now, HOAs govern and control what can and cannot go on in any particular neighborhood. They also control what can and cannot be changed about houses in those neighborhoods.

Now, some HOAs are stricter than others, issuing fines and citations for just about anything, while others are much more lenient. In a clip posted on YouTube, Jeff mentioned living in a neighborhood with an active HOA, one that freely issued fines for minor offenses. He wasn’t a fan of his HOA and found the perfect way to get back at them before leaving the neighborhood for good.

“They were always writing me up,” Jeff said. “’ Garbage can lids were off. Garage door was open.’  My rocks, I didn’t have a lawn. It was Arizona, so I had rocks, and they were messy because my kids would run through them. ‘Your rocks are a little messy.’”

Later in the clip, Jeff was finally moving, leaving that annoying and overbearing HOA behind for good, but he had one more thing he had to do. He went through the rocks, scattering them about, making a total and complete mess.

“I said, ‘I’m just setting up a meeting between Gladys and the new owners,’” Jeff said.

We should all do what we can to achieve peace among ourselves.  Compromise, put others' needs ahead of our own, and think about how we can better their lives. After all, Christ did teach us to think of others as higher than ourselves. However, some individuals will and do go way overboard when trying to make everyone happy. They will do what they can, even if it means their well-intentioned actions negatively impact their own lives.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a comedian shows that people-pleasing isn't always the way to go, especially when it’s excessive. It can quickly get to the point where people-pleasing is nothing more than letting others walk over and take advantage of you.

The video chronicles the day in the life of a people-pleaser. The more he goes out of his way to help others, the more he negatively impacts himself.

The day begins with the young man sleeping on his bedroom floor after letting his second cousin’s best friend sleep in his bed, saying that his “floor is super comfortable.” Things only get worse from that point.

His people-pleasing ways cause him to get stuck in traffic, lose his job and become engaged to a woman he had been meaning to break up with for quite some time.

While peace is what everyone wants, sometimes it’s not always possible, especially when doing so means letting others take advantage of you.

A professor had a hysterical response to a student actually showing up for office hours. The educator had an unexpected reaction when the young woman, seeking help with class material, walked into his office. For most people, after graduating from high school, they head off to college, trade school or another form of schooling to further their education. There is always more to learn, more facts and concepts to grasp. We should always be striving to better ourselves, which includes using every day as a learning opportunity in some form or another.

Those in college or who have ever been in college are likely familiar with professors holding office hours. Of course, these are set hours during which students can visit professors in their offices to get more individualized help with classroom material. Sadly, many students don’t take advantage of this opportunity to further their learning or get help.

A clip posted on YouTube shows that professors are well aware that most of their students will and do completely ignore their office hours. However, when one student unexpectedly shows up, the professor is, at first, shocked, then becomes agitated and hostile.

The young woman walks through the door, asking for the professor. He answers with a mouth full of food, as he chows down on his lunch, asking if he’s in trouble.

She starts asking him a question about the material, but he quickly cuts her off, asking if she has any friends who could help her out instead. Understandably, she was pretty taken aback by the professor’s question and by his demeanor toward her for showing up during office hours.

Hilariously, it soon becomes clear why the professor is so upset and bothered by the student’s presence. He had plans which are described as a “once in a lifetime opportunity.” The student is ruining his chance to see “The Lion King on Ice.”

You will be rolling with laughter once you hear what these youngsters said when they thought they were being supportive, but actually weren’t. Becoming a parent is a life-changing event. Sure, everyone says they understand that bringing a little one into the world will change their life in countless ways. “I was stressed after work the other day, and my nine-year-old, she goes, ‘Dad, you’re not that important,’” he added. “Oddly enough, that helped. Thank you.”

“I had the audacity to mention how cold it was outside, to which my child said, ‘Dad once filled the bath with cold water. You’ve got nothing to complain about,’” Mom mentioned.

Now, you’re probably wondering whether any of your habits made the list, and whether you may have young people cringing at your behavior. If any of these describe you, you should reconsider some things. If you are that person, please stop it immediately. People may not say it to your face, but just be aware that people are secretly cringing or feeling secondhand embarrassment at your behavior.

His delivery makes it seem as if he may not be entirely joking. It’s clear from her response that his wife did not take his unsolicited advice as a joke.

“I had it in my head, and now I’ve had to change it three times,” she said. “I don’t need a lecture this morning. Thank you so much.”

“I have also developed, over time, the utmost respect and awe and love for my wife for birthing basically a litter,” Dan said. “Just separated by many years. Oh, she’s good at it. You know what she’s not good at? Naming them.”

Dan says that when his youngest daughter was born, his wife suggested naming her Cecilia. Dan wasn’t on board with that name at all.

“I said, ‘You can’t name her that,’ he said. ‘What’s going to happen to this poor girl on the first day of classes every year of school? The teacher’s going to go down the list and say, ‘Cecilia, you’re breaking my heart. You’re shaking my confidence daily.’”

Soon after, Dan revealed the names of his other children, who may or may not have names from equally famous tunes.

Marriage is not easy, but that is rarely, if ever, the case with worthwhile things. A marriage is a relationship between two flawed individuals. Not only do these two people have their faults, but each has their own thoughts and opinions on a whole variety of topics, which can often lead to disagreements.

Anyone who is or has ever been married knows that these disagreements are inevitable. Being 100 percent aligned with your spouse on every single thing is nearly impossible. But whenever those points of contention do happen, compromise is always the best solution. But when that is not an option, the wife automatically wins, especially when it comes to the house's interior design. That's not a fight worth having.

"I told him, 'When you're at the store, take a picture of them and send it to me before you buy it,'" she said.

Well, he failed to follow those instructions, and what they ended up with was not exactly flattering, as Anjelah describes it.

"So, I came home to these gaudy, Armenian curtains hanging in my house that are like two feet too short," she said. "I got high-water curtains."

Hilariously, Anjelah's brother, during a visit, also provided some commentary on her new curtains.

"The first thing my brother, who came over to the house, said, 'Uh, why you got Capri pant curtains?'"

Dating is not an easy process. It requires a lot of time, work and a ton of perseverance. Not every person will turn out to be the right person, but that’s what dating is all about. Some relationships will work, and others, for one reason or another, will not, which can be extremely discouraging.

Shopping is one of the worst things humans do on a regular basis. Is there anything worse? There are probably some that come close, but shopping is in a class all of its own. While we can all agree that shopping is terrible, it unfortunately gets worse. For starters, there’s grocery shopping, which is the worst of the worst. Also, there’s being hounded by salespeople as soon as you set foot in the establishment. I understand they work on commission, but let me get completely into the store before asking if I need help, Ok?

He badly wants that commission, but both are just browsing. But an overeager salesman who has his sights set on a commission turns out to be the least of their worries.

Carol becomes instantly smitten with Tim, and he also quickly develops a romantic interest in her. The two start browsing pieces of furniture together, which somehow leads to hysterical physical injuries for Tim.

However, without a doubt, the most hilarious part of the entire skit – the reason to watch this classic clip – is when they try out the store’s waterbed. The bed literally springs a leak as Tim desperately tries to cover up the damaged product from the store’s employees. That goes about as well as you would expect, but there are plenty of laughs along the way, despite his failed efforts to conceal the busted waterbed.

He recalls telling her how much he loved her, and finally ended his speech by asking, “Do you want to get married?” After getting the question out, he didn’t have to wait long for her response.

“And she thought about it, and she said, ‘Yeah, I guess, if that’s what you want,’” Jeff recalled. 
“That’s how excited she was at the prospect of spending the rest of her life with me. It was no different if I said, ‘Hey, you want to go to McDonald’s for breakfast?’”

This comedian’s unusual name made his job much more difficult. The funnyman understands that his name is odd and will stand out wherever he goes, especially when he goes to work. Everyone has a name. Some people have only a first and a last name, while it’s much more common for individuals to have three – a first, a middle and a last name. Whatever the case may be, regardless of how many names we may or may not have, we have very little control over our names.

As everyone knows, the last name depends on what family you’re born into, and as the old saying goes, you can pick your friends, but you can’t pick your family.

One comedian knows that all too well, as his name is Glen Tickle. In a clip posted on YouTube, he made it clear right off the bat that that is his actual name, and that he understands how strange it is to have that last name.

“Glen Tickle is the name I was given at birth, that I have to use in my life when I meet other people,” he said. “It’s been hard. I used to work as a substitute teacher, and that’s a hard job for anybody, but for me, I had to wake up every morning to go stand up in front of a different group of little kids I’d never met and write ‘Mr. Tickle’ on the board.”

As you might expect, this led to some difficulties inside and outside the classroom, especially if he ran into one of those kids at the store or a restaurant.

The popular funnyman believes that taking a cruise is the way to travel and is now making his case for why you should consider it, too. Nearly every person loves to travel. Sure, there are going to be outliers, people who want nothing to do with travel and would rather spend their vacation time at home. They enjoy the familiar and the recognizable, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with those desires and that mindset.

But for most people, traveling is something they look forward to with anticipation and excitement. The only problem at that point is figuring out where you want to go and how to get there. Of course, the trip's price will also weigh heavily on the decision-making process. So, what is the best way to travel? What makes for an excellent vacation? If you were to ask John Crist, he would emphatically suggest you consider a cruise.

In a clip posted on YouTube, the funnyman rattles off a handful of reasons why taking a cruise beats out many other forms of vacation. He also understands that some people have an aversion to cruising and even look down on it. He hilariously combats and knocks down any arguments against cruising.

"OK, listen, there are two types of people on this planet, I feel like," he said. "The people that love cruise ships and defend them to the death, and people who are wrong, unfortunately. Anybody that's been on a cruise ship knows this."

Later in the clip, he mentions everything that you can do on a cruise ship, which includes enjoying a water slide, climbing a rock wall and receiving prompt room service at nearly any time, day or night.

"I just pressed four, and a guy named Jamir brought me a pepperoni pizza in bed, OK?" he added.

Was doing a job across the road and looked over and seen this. And of course I had to record.

This hilarious skit shows how we chase happiness and self-improvement through purchasing and acquiring more stuff. Most people, if they are being honest, will likely agree that they have done this a time or two. Everyone has things they want to do and achieve in life. Since we are all individuals with unique personalities and characteristics, our goals and dreams will likely differ greatly. But no matter what, we all just want to be happy. That’s ultimately what everyone is after.

However, some people are under the false impression that they can buy their way to happiness. If I just buy this item, it’ll do the trick and I’ll finally be happy. That’s the message that advertisements are constantly pushing, and people fall for it all the time. If they have this or that, then they’ll be good enough, and the happiness will just come flooding in.

A clip posted on YouTube captured this idea perfectly and hilariously. The husband, while impersonating his wife, is standing on an odd contraption as he attempts to maintain his balance. Then, the first words out of his mouth sum up precisely how some people try to purchase their way to happiness and well-being.

“Honey, don’t laugh,” he says. “This, no, don’t laugh. This is it. This is the solution to my problems. It’s going to regulate my emotions, somehow. It’s going to regulate my hormones. Don’t know how, and it’s going to make me less reactive to my Aunt Linda’s Facebook posts.”

From that point forward, the short skit just gets more and more ridiculous as he puts on more and more strange-looking products and talks about their supposed benefits and what they can do for him.

Parents love all their children equally and have no favorites. They cannot possibly ever imagine life without their little bundles of joy. These are phrases that you’ve heard all parents say at one time or another, and likely, if you’re a mother or a father, you’ve probably said both of these, too.

How could any parent, if they were blessed with multiple children, have a favorite? Is that even possible? Do parents have one of their children who is a little more favored and liked in their eyes? Every parent, when asked these or any similar questions, would emphatically respond that, of course, they do not have a favorite.

But is that always true? Not being a parent myself, I don’t know. But I would suspect parents do secretly have a favorite, despite what they might say. They likely connect with one of their children more than the others, but that doesn’t mean they love the others any less.  In a clip posted on YouTube, Mike, a father of two, admits that, while he loves them both, his daughter is his favorite. He states why that is, too.

“My son is 21, my daughter is 22,” Mike said. “I love them; they’re great. My daughter is my favorite. You’re not supposed to say that, but she’s my favorite. I say that ‘cause she moved out, so she’s awesome. My son’s still wandering around.”

Later in the clip, Mike mentioned some of the strange and hilarious things his son has done, including devising a way to keep his eyes open while sneezing to “see what his face looked like” and giving an odd response to what seemed like a straightforward question at dinner.

An innocent mistake, a typo, went very wrong and caused a lot of problems for this comedian and one of his classmates. The funnyman’s story about a friendly note gone wrong is comedy gold. Have you ever made a mistake, an error or experienced a lapse in judgment? Of course, you and I both have. We all make mistakes, as no one walking on this earth is perfect; far from it. All of us come equipped with our own failures, flaws and blemishes – things that prove and remind us that we are imperfect, that we are human.

Mistakes can happen even when our intentions are entirely, 100 percent pure. Human beings have a way of screwing up just about anything. Even the simplest of tasks can go sideways very quickly when a human being is in control, which, as you know, is all the time. For instance, a spelling error, a typo, can ruin someone’s entire day, and end with you getting two weeks of detention, as one clip posted on YouTube proves.

Chris Schlichting mentioned that, growing up, he was a “good kid” and “never got in trouble.” But there was one time when his inability to spell did land him in some hot water.

“I had a crush on a girl, and this was before texting,” he said. “So, what you would do is you’d write them a note, right? So, I wrote this girl a note, and all I said was, ‘Hey, sweetie.’ That’s all it said. Plenty more where that came from, just lay the foundation.”

Well, her note did not go over well with the girl. She ran out of the classroom in tears.

Following her exit, Chris was called to the principal’s office and was asked about his note.

“He shuts the door, he’s like, ‘Chris, why’d you call Colleen sweaty?’”

That’s precisely the lesson one mother tries to impart to her children in what is likely the most hilarious and plainspoken way possible.

In the clip posted on YouTube, Mom makes it abundantly clear that she does not have time to tend to every cut and scrape. She wants her children to stop crying and complaining about this or that injury, which, in her mind, is not worth all the fuss. She gives a series of quick, rapid-fire, hilarious responses that will have you doubled over with laughter.

“Are you bleeding, or you just dramatic?” the mother says in the video.

“Well, did you die?” she asks. “Then hush.”

“Oh, I have had worse injuries from shaving my legs,” the mother informs her child. “Go sit down.”

“I’ve seen squirrels take harder hits and keep running,” she added.

Karaoke is an activity many people enjoy doing. I’m in the tiny minority on this one. Doing karaoke is not something I’ve ever done or have ever wanted to do. Singing horribly and completely butchering perfectly fine and beloved songs while in a public forum is not something that has ever appealed to me.

However, in a clip posted on YouTube, Jaylyn says that’s where performing karaoke at church and anywhere else differs. People at church are not afraid to give their hysterical, honest assessments of someone’s singing ability.

“Because the first time I did karaoke, I did it at church, and church karaoke’s totally different, right?” she said. “Church people will let you know you can’t sing; church people will, especially my church. They were like, ‘Uh-uh, baby, mm-hmm. Come on down from there. He said, ‘Make a joyful noise.’ Come on down from there. Come on down from there. Play the tambourine like everybody else.”

It's good to be honest with people, and we’ve all heard people who cannot sing to save their lives. Who knows? You might be one of those people, someone who should probably avoid karaoke. I know for sure that I am.

This video begins with the woman approaching her husband, who is lounging on the couch, completely engrossed in a football game. She asks him to hang up some things for her. He kindly responds that he will do so after the game.

Now, wanting to get this task completed as quickly as possible, she takes a different approach. She knows her husband well and understands exactly what to say to get this task accomplished immediately, and hilariously, it works like a charm. It’s clear she has done this before.
