Nate Bargatze hilariously breaks down the most challenging part of marriage. The popular comedian shares the situation he believes to be one of marriage's toughest, most awkward parts. Watch the short but uproarious clip that will have you laughing from beginning to end.
Human beings are creatures of habit. Over time, we develop routines and procedures for nearly every aspect of our lives. It doesn’t matter if it involves how we brush our teeth, tie our shoes, drive a car or perform our job at the office; everyone has routines.
Everyone enjoys their routines because they are safe, comforting and familiar. But if those routines get disrupted, no matter what they are, things can get bad. People can react in ways that may not be the nicest. In a hilarious clip posted on social media, Nate explains how he responds when his wife interrupts his nighttime routine.
“Everybody’s got bedtime routines in their families,” Nate said. “So, our family, we try to send our daughter to bed like 9, 9:30, something like that. And then me and my wife can watch TV, whatever. My wife, we usually start falling asleep. She’ll go to bed like 11:30.”
As Nate mentions, while his wife typically goes to bed a little before midnight, he likes to stay up a couple of hours later. However, when his wife changes things up, problems occur, according to Nate.
“Sometimes, my wife, she’ll go to bed, and then she comes back with a blanket, and she lays next to me,” Nate said. “And she’s like, ‘Well, I’m going to sleep out here, and I’ll go to bed when you go to bed.’ And I don’t care for that at all.”
This presents Nate with a huge dilemma – the most difficult part of marriage, he says.
“It’s like you already promised to go to bed, and I got pretty excited,” he said. “So, I don’t… I think that’s the hardest part of marriage. How do you say that nicely? How do you tell the most important, the person that you love more than life itself? How do you say, ‘Hey, out of all the people on Earth, you’re the only one I don’t want near me right now?’”
Keeping one’s routines is essential, even when it comes to marriage.
