*Viral Video* Young man with Rare Disease Sings for Cancer Patients While Hospitalized

A hospital can seem like a sterile and sometimes gloomy place, but one patient is lifting the mood at Duke Hospital with his own music.

Music has taken the place of food for Dustin Chapman, 21, of Whiteville, North Carolina, because he hasn't been able to eat or drink normally for months.

Chapman has a rare disease called Achalasia, where the esophagus muscles basically quit functioning. To cope, Chapman is using his talent to encourage himself and countless others who listen. A video shared on Facebook of Chapman singing and playing the piano at Duke inspired more than 2,500 shares within a few days.

Three years ago, Chapman's condition required surgery on his esophagus. For 18 months, he could eat anything he wanted, but now Duke doctors are trying different things to enable him to be able to swallow food and liquids.

"In 2017, all my problems started coming back," said Chapman.

While he and his family wait for answers, Chapman found his best therapy was at one of the few pianos in the hospital.

Chapman's performance at the Duke Cancer Center last week got rave reviews.

"I had cancer patients coming up to me, and they were just crying, and they were like, 'That was probably therapeutic for you, but we needed that just as much as you did,'" said Chapman. "It was very rewarding."

Chapman is a music major student at Catawba College. He says he enjoys writing and performing his own gospel and country songs.

Sara Spicer - Jump

This video is a very uplifting and empowering music video that needs to be shared with so many people that just need an encouraging, supportive word!
----------------------------
It’s in her blood. Sara comes from a musical family who recognized her tone and pitch at just four years old when she started singing “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”. Not long thereafter, she joined her mom and dad on stage and eventually opened for Tanya Tucker. Seeking meaning and comfort following the passing of her mother, she turned to songwriting. Sara wrote her first song “Heaven’s Gate” in tribute to her mom, the woman who gave her vocal chops, an appreciation for Patsy Cline and a love of all things country.

Fast forward to 2016. Sara toured the US, became a seasoned live performer with an all-girl country group. She spent her spare time writing songs with her songwriting partner, Heidi Hamels, and recording with Nashville producer Zac Maloy (Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, Daughtry), getting the opportunity to perform at legendary Blue Bird Cafe. Sara adds: “Performing is my life. It’s not a job to me, it’s my passion and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.”

Jump. Not one to play it safe, Sara left her group, moved to Nashville and “jumped” into becoming a serious songwriter and recording artist, finding her style with her wide-ranging voice suited to her songs. Sara draws inspiration from a broad range of country and popular artists — from Patsy to Dolly to Celine & Christina. In her debut EP, “New Girl” (HH Entertainment, 2018) Sara shows a sweet, ethereal beauty in her ballad “Fireflies” to soaring highs and grit of her first single, “Jump”, and “Pray and Pray and Drink”. At the same time, she and her co-writers Maloy and Hamels are equally comfortable as simple storytellers in “New Girl”, the somewhat biographical title song. Sara is proud to include her version of the Lauren Alaina penned ballad “Leaving Me” to round out her debut EP. Sa

Funny Baby Is Not Of Fan Of Piano-Playing Dog

There’s nothing sweeter than watching the relationship between a child and their dog. It’s truly a bond that is unbreakable. They are a special part of our lives that God placed on this Earth and they become a part of our family. These furry friends love us unconditionally and there's definitely a reason why they call dogs man’s best friend. The Internet is full of videos of dogs and their humans sharing special moments together. Today’s clip is just a little bit different. Believe it or not, Buddy the Beagle is a talented musician. He loves to play the piano and sing along to his compositions. Everyone in the house loves to hear this funny dog play, except one person. The baby is not a fan of Buddy and she’s not afraid to let that fact be known. Just watch this hilarious clip as Buddy is passionately playing the piano while his owner films. Buddy is just getting into the song when the baby crawls into the scene. She climbs right on up the bench so that she’s standing beside Buddy and then she does the funniest thing. This little infant moves Buddy’s paws so that he’s no longer playing. I’m guessing that she wasn’t a big fan of the musical performance. But when you see the look on both of their faces, I couldn’t help but laugh out loud. Every animal relationship is different and this little girl definitely wants her opinion known. Has anything like this every happened between your children and pets?

Viral Hot Water Challenge Leaves Teen With Burns

It seems like every single day there is a new online challenge that is getting all of the teenager’s attention. While some of these challenges are harmless, like dance offs, there are an alarming number of challenges that can result in serious injury to our children. We all heard of the Tide Pod Challenge, where teens were trying to eat the detergent pods but now we’ve got a whole new danger with the Hot Water Challenge. The prank involves throwing hot or boiling water onto a unsuspecting person, usually when they are sleeping. And while it might seem like common sense to avoid this, the number of teens participating is frightening. 15-year-old Kyland Clark knows this all to well as he suffered second-degree burns after being a victim of this prank. While visiting a friend’s house, Kyland fell asleep. Shortly before, the boys had been looking at videos online of the Hot Water Challenge, so Kyland’s friend decided to pull the prank on Kyland. He heated up water in the microwave and then tossed in onto Kyland’s body. Ultimately, Kyland was in the hospital for over a week with burns on his face, chest, back, neck and arms. His mother was frantic when she received the call about her son’s condition. ‘At times I ask myself, 'Why?' and, 'What were they thinking?' But I mean, I love them the same. They're typical teenagers." And after this scary incident, Kyland has said that he won’t be participating in any more online challenges.

13-Year-Old Sings Whitney Houston's 'One Moment In Time'

13-year-old Jeffrey Li made quite the impression with the judges during his first audition on America’s Got Talent. He performed the powerful tune ‘You Raise Me Up’ and it had the crowd going wild. But it’s what happened before his performance that everyone really remembers. He told the judges that he was an only child and if he won the million-dollar prize, the one thing that he’d really like would be a dog. Simon immediately chimed in and said that if Jeffrey did well, he would personally buy him a dog. Now, Jeffrey is back on stage for a second performance and he’s giving it everything he’s got. Just listen as he confidently belts out the Whitney Houston classic ‘One Moment In Time.’ I never would’ve thought a teenage boy would choose this song, but I sure am glad that he did. Jeffrey nails every single note and the crowd was on their feet in applause. This young man truly has an incredible voice and this song was the perfect fit to compliment his vocal skills. Jeffrey is making sure that the judges remember each of his performances and with a voice like this, it’s hard to forget this young man. No matter what happens in the competition, I have a feeling that we’ll be seeing more of Jeffrey Li in the future. This teenager could definitely have a career as a performer. But the biggest question on my mind is if Simon every got Jeffrey that dog he talked about?

Police Officers Enlist Nascar Driver For Lip Sync Challenge

It seems like every day there is a new challenge popping up on the Internet. Some of them are incredible and raise money for charities such as the Ice Bucket Challenge and others leave us completely confused like the Tide Pod one. But, if you’ve been online recently, I’m sure you’ve seen the lip sync challenge going around to police departments all over the country. These incredible videos showcase officers singing along to a popular tune. After it’s posted online, They can also challenge another department to do the same. There have been tons of videos popping up all over the Internet and it seems like each one gets better than the last. Today’s video is no normal lip sync. The Columbus Police Department in Indiana decided to enlist the help of Nascar driver Tony Stewart to pull off an epic lip dub. The entire video is an elaborate production starting with Tony flying down the highway before being pulled over. From there, it only gets better as more members of the police department are shown and a medley of songs are used. It’s obvious that the Columbus Police Department took this challenge very seriously and they put a lot of time and effort into making sure this lip sync was top notch. The best part is that everyone looks like they’re having a great time throughout the entire number. Every department is really taking the time to make sure that these lip syncs are entertaining and I am definitely enjoying each one. Do you have a favorite so far?

Trained Cat Nearly Ruins Audition But Then The Troupe Earns Rave Reviews

When mother-daughter duo Svetlana and Marina first auditioned for America’s Got Talent, the judges weren’t quite sure what to expect. This pair trains cats and they are giving dancing dogs a run for their money. Even Simon was impressed with how much skill and precision each of these felines possessed. We see a lot of dog auditions, but it’s pretty rare to see trained cats perform. That’s what makes the Savitsky Cats and their trainers so special. Today, these incredible felines are back for another performance and they’re pulling out all the stops this time. They’re including new tricks and even new cats that have never performed before on stage. You’ve got to check out this amazing number as the cats take on jumps, balls, and even an obstacle course full of surprises. Everyone says that cats are notoriously hard to train but it seems like Svetlana and Marina have got it down pat. There was one moment during the performance that I thought one of the cats wasn’t going to dance. But, after a few tense seconds, he got right up on his hind legs and boogied across the stage. There’s definitely a lot of ‘catitude’ in this routine. I think I even spotted a smile from Simon, who’s famous for loving dogs. That’s when you know you’ve really impressed the judges. I’m so glad that this talented troupe is moving on to the live shows. I can’t wait to see what tricks they come up with for their next performance.

Simon Makes Contestant Stop Mid-Audition And Start Over

Noah Guthrie was following his dreams when he landed a roll on the popular TV show ‘Glee.’ But when the television show was cancelled, Noah was left jobless and feeling defeated. That’s when he turned to the big stage of America’s Got Talent and decided to give performing another chance. During his first audition, he blew the judges away with his cover of a hit pop song. When he returned to the stage for his follow up performance, the judges immediately remembered the talented singer. Then, Noah started to sing "I Would Die 4 U" by Prince. But before he was even halfway through the song, Simon held up his hands and stopped the entire performance. Simon went on to say, ‘I like your voice but I’m not sure, if I’m being honest with you, I would have chosen that song.’ The entire crowd thought that would be the end of Noah’s time on stage but Simon asked about the singer’s second song choice. Noah had prepared ‘Whipping Post’ by The Allman Brothers and Simon decided that he would let Noah give it a try. And boy am I glad that he did because this second performance was incredible. The crowd was going crazy for his unique vocals and they were almost immediately on their feet. Noah even got a smile from Simon, which is very rare. Sometimes, I question the decisions that this notoriously tough judge makes, but this is one decision I completely agree with. And thanks to this last minute change, Noah is moving on to the next round of competition. What do you think he’s going to perform next?

Female Filmmaker Depicts Woes of the Immigration Process

Ekwa Msangi depicts a situation relatable to many; waiting. In her short film “Farwell Meu Amor,” a father/husband has filed for his family to come join him in the U.S., but after 17-years-apart, the distance and separation drives an emotional narrative that is both compelling and heavy hearted. Catch the female director share the inspiration behind her work at this full interview on Brad Show Live.

The Rock Surprises Stunt Double Cousin With Truck

Normally, when we think of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, we picture the super tough action movie star. But off-screen, this talented actor has a much softer side. Dwayne started off as a wrestler for the WWE, but as the years went on, he made the transition to a successful movie career. Some of his blockbuster hits include Disney’s Moana, The Scorpion King and The Fast and Furious films. Dwayne has appeared in countless action films and each one normally involves some big stunt. That’s where his cousin, Tanoai Reed, comes in. Tanoai has been Dwayne’s longtime stunt double and he helps pull off those epic action scenes in each film. Dwayne recently made a post to Instagram that said, “Over the course of my career, my stunt double (and cousin) Tanoai Reed has broken multiple bones, severed tendons, torn ligaments.” He also included a video clip of the two men together. Tanoai thought that he was being interviewed with Dwayne about their career together, but this man had no idea the surprise in store. Dwayne wanted to show his cousin just how much he’s appreciated all of his hard work over the years, so he purchased a custom pick up truck and set up the elaborate reveal. Just watch the moment when Tanoai realizes that all of this was for him and he embraces Dwayne full of emotion. What an incredible way to give back to a very special person. It’s obvious that these two share a lot of love for each other and I think they’ll be working together for years to come.

3 Siblings Perform Emotional Song For The Judges

We all remember the family band, We Three, and their emotional audition on America’s Got Talent. Joshua, Bethany and Manny make up this family ensemble from Oregon and they definitely made an impression with the judges. Their first audition featured an original song titled "Heaven's Not Too Far Away" for their mom. Sadly, the trio lost their mother in 2015 to stage 4 carcinoma cancer. This heart-tugging tune even brought judge Mel B to tears. Today, this talented group is back for another performance and it might be even better than the first. The sibling band walked out on the stage with another original song. ‘Lifeline’ is an emotional tune written for anyone who is losing hope. The trio wanted this song to remind everyone that it’s okay to feel vulnerable and sad sometimes. There can be power in vulnerability and these lyrics remind us to never give up. When you truly listen to these lyrics, you will see just how talented this group really is. Not only are their voices amazing, but they all play instruments and write their own music. That is a rare find in the music industry nowadays. And it’s obvious from the looks on the judge’s faces that they were seriously impressed with this follow up performance too. The trio even earned a standing ovation. I’m so glad that they made it through this round and we get to hear another performance from this family band. Who else is looking forward to seeing these 3 again?

2-Year-Old Gives Burritos To Firefighters Battling Fires

Children truly have a heart of gold. When they see someone in need, they immediately want to jump in and do something. It’s one of the sweetest traits when watching a kid grow up. And 2-year-old Gracie is the perfect example of a toddler with a heart like no other. Recently, wildfires have ravaged Northern California. Many people have been forced to evacuate their homes and the fire has already claimed the lives of 6 people. Firefighters are working around the clock to try and stop the fires, but it’s a very demanding job. Many of these firefighters work on a 24-hour shift and this physically demanding task can take its toll. Gracie’s two brothers and her father have all been working on the Carr Fire, one of the fires taking over the state. After one of her brother’s shifts, he called their mom and said that he would love a burrito. So that’s when Gracie and her mom decided to grant her brother’s wish and help out the other firefighters at the same time. They made a big batch of breakfast burritos and brought them to the crews who were finishing up their shift. This sweet video shows Gracie handing firefighters the burritos and it’s absolutely heartwarming to watch. This incredible act of kindness is touching hearts all over the world and more and more people are hearing of Gracie’s thoughtfulness. I’m so proud of this little girl for showing the world how a small act can truly make a huge impact.

Dance Crew Performs Evolution Of Michael Jackson Dances

I think we can all agree that dancing is truly a beautiful art form. There are so many different styles and techniques but each one allows the dancer to express themselves in a very special way. Dancing is also an incredible means to bring happiness to others. Even when someone is just watching a performance, they can become so wrapped up and truly feel the emotions that the dancers are displaying. It’s truly a powerful thing. Over the years, dancing has changes in a lot of different ways. Older styles have been retired and new ones emerge every day. It’s always really fascinating to look at where dance started and where it is currently. Today, we can to take a look at a very special evolution of dance as we watch iconic numbers from Michael Jackson. Ricardo Walker who routinely performs famous dances from the ‘King of Pop.’ Recently, he decided to enlist the help of 3 of his friends to perform a medley of Michael’s greatest routines. He starts at the very beginning in 1979 with the hit ‘Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough’ and he moves all the way through 2009 with ‘This Is It.’ It’s so cool to see all of our favorite dances in one complete performance. But my absolute favorite has to be the ‘Thriller’ dance. It brings back so many memories and it’s one of those dances that everyone has tried at home once or twice. What an incredible medley. Did you favorite make the list?

Child Prodigy Stuns Shoppers With Piano Performance

It always amazes me to see children stepping on stage and performing just like an adult. When we see kids, we don’t expect them to be at the same level as an adult performer. But sometimes, a child with a rare gift emerges and completely blows everyone away. I think that’s why we’re all so fascinated by child prodigies and their incredible gifts. We all know how much time and practice it takes to become a professional and when we see a young person who’s only been on this Earth a few years with such talent, it’s very special. That’s exactly what we’re getting today when little Karl Lenin Estoestra sits down at a piano in the Power Plant Mall in Makati City, Philippines. I don’t think any of the shoppers were expecting to hear a master at work, but that’s exactly what they god. Just watch as he confidently starts to play ‘I Will Survive’ and a crowd starts to form. The longer he plays, the more people have to stop and take a second look at this young boy. It’s obvious that he has tons of talent and isn’t shy about sharing his gift with the world. His fingers seem to move so fast that I can barely keep up with this young man. I just can’t get over all of his talent at such a young age. I hope that Karl continues to follow his passion and play the piano so that all of the world can hear his special gift.

Dog Rescues Baby Bird About To Drown

I truly believe that when God places animals on this Earth, He knew exactly what He was doing. Not only are they important to our ecosystem, but some animals actually become a part of our families when we welcome them into our homes. These special pets definitely hold a spot in our hearts and dogs, in particular, are well known for being a lifelong companion full of love and support. I love it when you can see them take on the traits of their human and really start to show emotions. In this clip, one hero dog truly embodies all of the best features of a human combined with the abilities of a dog. While outside on day with his owner, this sweet dog noticed a baby bird in the water that was struggling to keep afloat. That’s when this amazing canine jumped into the water to save the helpless creature before they drowned. The entire time, you can hear the owner calling out to the dog and reminding him to be gentle as he swims to the short with the bird in his mouth. And that’s exactly what this incredible dog does. He swims all the way to shore, taking extra care to make sure that the baby bird is protected. And no one is prouder than this hero dog’s owner when he finally gets his hands on the bird. What an incredible display of compassion and kindness from both owner and dog. Now I know where this sweet pup gets his sense of duty from.
