Good Samaritan Rescues 'Man' From Christmas Light Display

If you are looking for an incredible Christmas light display, nothing compares to this setup in Texas. It was so over the top, that it fooled one unsuspecting man into thinking the display was real. Chris Heerlein and his wife, Hannah, went all out to try and win their neighborhood’s annual Christmas display contest. They decided to recreate a scene from the holiday movie ‘National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.’ In the movie, Clark Griswold, played by Chevy Chase, is attempting to hang lights on his roof when he trips and is left clinging to the gutter. The Heerleins set up an elaborate recreation, complete with a mannequin appearing to dangle from their house. The entire display was so good that it actually prompted one passerby to dial 911. When Alfred Norwood, Jr. came across the scene, he ran towards the house to save the ‘man.’ Security cameras on the property captured Norwood rushing to grab the ladder and shouting to the dangling dummy. Once the police arrived, they were able to sort out the whole misunderstanding but the family was still touched by Norwood’s immediate reaction to help. They even ended up giving him a gift card for his kindness. Since the incident, the Heerleins have placed a sign in their yard notifying passerbys of the display. After all of this, I sure hope that this family won the neighborhood contest. They definitely put a lot of time and effort into pulling off these details. What did you think of this elaborate display?

WestJet Brings Families Together For Christmas Miracle

Every year, WestJet embarks on a mission to help spread happiness at Christmas time. In the past, they’ve taken part in epic flash mobs, real-time gift giving, free flights and more. This year, WestJet wanted to top everything from the past and after watching this Christmas miracle, I think they accomplished the task. WestJet is currently the second largest airline in Canada. Over the years, they’ve made a name for themselves as a budget-friendly airline with a heart for giving. They searched all over for guests who were missing a loved one this holiday season. “In the spirit of Christmas, WestJet created a surprise these lucky guests will remember for the rest of their lives.” Some of the deserving people included parents missing their daughter, a set of best friends and a long-distance couple who met under tragic circumstances. The unsuspecting guests were asked to take part in a fake commercial for airline, but what they didn’t know it that their loved ones were being flown in for an amazing surprise reunion. One by one, each ‘participant’ is stunned to find their missing loved ones are right beside them. It’s so incredible to watch the genuine reactions and the happiness that each person will feel this season. WestJet definitely pulled off a Christmas miracle and I just love seeing them give back each year. The airline said it best when they said, “Being together with loved ones is the best tradition of all.” I can’t wait to see what they come up with for next year.

Chris Pratt Reads Nativity Story from Bible at Disneyland's Candlelight Service

At Disneyland Resort in California, the beautiful candlelight ceremony featured choirs singing, a spectacular light show, and none other than Hollywood A-list Christian actor Chris Pratt reading the nativity story. The actor’s heartfelt telling of the story is so moving, especially amid the backdrop of hundreds of flickering candles. “The shepherds rose to follow the star as it shone in the east when suddenly, there was, with the angel, a multitude of heavenly hosts, praising God, and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth, peace, good will toward men.” Chris beautifully read. When the announcer introduced the special guest narrator after Chris’ reading, the crowd cheered, and Chris addressed them saying, "Ladies and gentlemen, it was really my honor to share this beautiful Candlelight ceremony with all of you. It's been a very special and inspiring night. For me, being a parent has really changed my life in so many ways. And one of those ways is to understand, truly, the love that a father could have for a child." Chris then continued on saying, "When I stare at this precious little creation of mine here, and I watch the ways in which he tries to please me, I just fill with a love that I feel is so pure, and unending. The way we love our children, the more we love our children, the more we will understand the capacity for our Father in heaven to love us. Each and every one of us a precious creation, and he just marvels in the ways that we can try to please Him. That should give us a great deal of comfort. I know it does for me." He summed up his comments by ending with,"This holiday season, let us embrace every one of our tomorrows with hope and love. And through this holiday spirit may we continue to spread peace and goodwill throughout the world. Thank you, and Merry Christmas!" How wonderful is it that Disney has continued this wonderful tradition for so many years? The park has celebrated the candlelight processional since it first opened its doors back in 1955! And I love that Chris always makes an effort to publicly sing Jesus’ praises and worship our Lord! If you’d like to skip ahead to Chris’ comments above, just click here.

Talented Firefighters Sing 'Do They Know It's Christmas' For Charity

‘Do They Know It’s Christmas’ is one of the most well known Christmas song of the modern age. The powerful tune was penned in 1984 Bob Geldof and Midge Ure after they saw news reports about the famine in Ethiopia. The writers put together a group of some of the biggest singers and musicians, at the time, and they called themselves Band Aid. The song immediately became a hit and helped to raise money for Africa. Since that time, it’s become a staple during Christmas time. ‘And there won't be snow in Africa this Christmas time The greatest gift they'll get this year is life Where nothing ever grows No rain or rivers flow Do they know it's Christmas time at all?’ Today, a whole new group is performing this song and they hope to achieve some of the same success while raising money for charity. The Fire Tones are a talented ensemble of firefighters from all over the United Kingdom. They recorded the iconic song in aid of The Firefighters Charity and The Band Aid Charity Trust. This is definitely a very special song and the lyrics are so powerful. It’s incredible to see a group of brave men and women come together to give ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas’ a new sound this year. And I can’t get over just how amazing all of their voices sound when they blend together. What an awe-inspiring rendition from these firefighters. Let’s use this song to remind ourselves to say a prayer for all of those around the world who may not experience the type of Christmas we do.

Kristina Kuzmic Offers Advice For Those Who Are Struggling

Kristina Kuzmic is known all over the Internet for her honesty and ability to talk about the daily struggles of life. Usually, she blends humor with her commentary, but today we’re getting to see a whole different side of this advice-giving mom. We all go through tough times in our lives, but Kristina wants us to remember that our situations can change. “Whatever you’re going through, whether it’s something really heavy and life-altering like a divorce or a huge financial struggle, or whether it’s just everyday parenting chaos like potty training or teen drama or tantrums, it’s not permanent.” She recalls a time in her life when she struggled financially. Kristina was working 2 jobs to support her family, but she still relied on food stamps to help buy food. One of her darkest moments came while standing in line to pay at the grocery store and she heard a woman behind her say “Why don’t you get a job instead of mooching off the government?” Kristina was so overcome with embarrassment and sadness that she didn’t even have the strength to say anything to the stranger. In the moment, she felt like this would be her permanent situation with everyone always looking down on her. But now her life is entirely different. When we are struggling in our lives, it’s so important to remember that the situation can change. “This is right now. This is not forever. You are not stuck.” This message really hit me hard. What about you?

Kymberli Joye Performs 'Break Every Chain' On The Voice

Kymberli Joye took the crowd to church with her recent performance on The Voice. The 26-year-old singer from Windsor, Connecticut has been impressing the judges for week on the talent competition. But nothing can compare to her incredible rendition of the gospel song ‘Break Every Chain’ during ‘Fan Night.’ Kymberli is a part of coach Kelly Clarkson’s team and she has been a frontrunner for the majority of the season. Even though the coaches are in competition too, after this performance, everyone agreed that Kymberli has what it takes to make it the whole way. Just listen as she belts out the powerful words that will fill your soul with fire for the Lord. “There is power in the name of Jesus To break every chain, break every chain, break every chain” You can definitely feel her passion for the Lord as she sings the Tasha Cobb hit. Kymberli is a worship leader in her church back home and she loves singing in the church choir. What an amazing performance to witness and know that the entire nation is hearing the word of God. When we spread His message and bring more people to the Lord, we are truly creating the most powerful force on this Earth. “There's an army rising up To break every chain, break every chain, break every chain” I hope we continue to hear more from this incredible performer and I’ll definitely be cheering her on during this season of The Voice. Who else is going to be rooting for Kymberli?

Michael Bublé 'Help Me Make It Through The Night' (Behind The Scenes)

Michael Bublé had a dream to perform “Help Me Make It Through The Night” as a duet, but had to find just the right vocal partner. After hearing her sing as the voice of Jenny Lind in “The Greatest Showman”, Michael Bublé knew he found the right singing partner in Loren Allred. “Take the ribbon from my hair / Shake it loose and let it fall / Lay it soft upon my skin / Like the shadows on the wall" Originally a country ballad from the 1970s, “Help Me Make It Through The Night” lends itself perfectly to Bublé’s crooner charms. Knowing he wanted to sing the song, Bublé had to find the right vocal partner. “My concept had always been so strong. And in my head, it was always a duet, I never heard it as a duet before but I had always seen it as this incredible sad, but beautiful story of two needy people who just did not have the strength to be alone any more.” Bublé shares about his vision for the song. “I had been watching a movie called ‘The Greatest Showman’...and I realized the actress, it wasn’t her singing, so I frantically started to comb Youtube to find out who this was… and I found Loren Allred!” If there is such a thing as a vocal crush, Bublé admits he has it (we do, too!) Loren’s voice is truly amazing and hearing her sing this beautiful ballad, there is no doubt that her voice was perfect for the part! Allred hails from Utah, the daughter of two talented vocalists. It’s clear that she inherited their skill. We can’t wait to hear more from her and hope that she and Bublé will continue to use their vocal gifts in duets together!

'Flying Preacher' Brings A New Lift To His Sunday Sermon

This ‘flying preacher’ is the talk of the Internet and he’s making sure that his message is being heard. Pastor Bartholomew Orr, of Brown Baptist Church in Southaven, Mississippi made headlines when he used a flying apparatus during a recent sermon. The viral video shows Pastor Orr slowly emerging from the back of the church and ‘flying’ all the way to the pulpit, never missing a beat. The church has actually been using the equipment for years during their annual Christmas play, but this is the first time that the pastor has stepped into the harness himself. “We have a company that comes in, installs it, takes our people through a flight school just to make sure everything is safe.” He used the grand entrance to deliver a powerful message about Jesus returning to Earth. You can see all of the parishioners in awe of the flight and there are numerous people pulling out their phones to capture the moment on video. “I wasn't nervous. They creeped me in and it wasn't like I was zoomed in.” Even though his congregation applauded the sermon, there have also been a lot of people giving Pastor Orr a hard time for his elaborate arrival. The pastor has his own words for the critics, “I think more young people left Sunday morning talking about my sermon than they did in a while.” I have to agree with Pastor Orr. If I saw this during a service, I would definitely be talking about it for a while. Have you ever seen anything like this in real life?

Man Has to Give Up His Golden Retriever And The Reason Is Amazing

The Golden Retriever is one of the most beloved dogs of all time. These gentle canines are known for their companionship and ability to easily learn advanced commands. Because of this, the Golden Retriever is a popular breed for families and as service dogs. Rocky Kanaka learned just how lovable this animal could be when he welcomed Jalapeno into his home. Jalapeno is a special needs rescue dog that Rocky took in as a foster. This sweet and gentle pup steals hearts everywhere he goes, so it was only a matter of time before Jalapeno found the perfect forever home. That’s where Jill enters story. This loving woman has a heart for dogs with special needs and as soon as she set eyes on Jalapeno, she knew he was going to be a part of her family. Today, Jalapeno is going home with Jill and getting to live out the rest of his days in the perfect home. It was a bittersweet day for Rocky and his family, but he knew that this was the best decision for Jalapeno. And when you see how happy this pup is to be meeting his new mama, you’ll be grinning from ear to ear. I’m so glad that there are people in the world like Rocky and Jill that take in these animals that others have abandoned and work tirelessly to give them a better life. Jalapeno is truly getting the loving home that he deserves. What a perfect ending to this adoption story.
