As the signs of Matthew 24 become more and more apparent with each passing year, it also becomes evident that the time of probation in terms of accepting the loving sacrifice of Christ becomes more and more precious.

We as followers of Christ have a highly important task of spreading the untainted, pure and Holy Spirit guided news of salvation to the masses of the world. Whether the world accepts it or not is a matter that is left to the individual. We also have the responsibility of continually running the race of life, so that an eternal inheritance beyond the darkness of these days may be found. Nothing could be more precious. As the natural disasters, outbreaks of disease (i.e. Ebola), war and financial collapse continually shape the nature of these days, and will worsen to the likes we have never seen - we are called upon by the Lord to lift our heads to the clouds of heaven, and take joy; as our redemption is drawing near (Luke 21:28.)

Our sin will no longer be hidden, all will be revealed. We must not fall into error! Christ is the picture of what God is changing each regenerated believer into. We will be judged by the condition of our hearts. God is looking for a pure heart, a sound mind, and a clear conscious. It is what we have been changed into that matters. We must die to ourselves and be purified by the Holy Spirit, and then we will be ready to stand before the judgment seat of Christ. We must be purified by faith. God uses trials and difficulties to purify us. You may not receive from God if you are self-centered and if you do not walk by faith. A proud heart blocks the blessings of God. To submit to God is the answer, to obey Him, and subject ourselves to Him. We must come to God or we will not receive His mercy. We cannot hope for the favor of God if we remain distant from Him. You will not receive the desires of your heart unless you agree with His will. We must know and do what God commands us to do. God teaches each believer through the Holy Spirit. God will not allow anyone to be lost unless they ignore and rebel against what the Holy Spirit is saying. Acknowledge your sin before God and do His will. We must live for Him and die to all sin within us. If the Holy Spirit is pointing out sin within us we will have no assurance. Is the old man crucified in me?

I received a very interesting phone call in late August asking if I would be involved in a surprise proposal AND surprise wedding. This was truly a once in a lifetime event to witness so I eagerly accepted. When I met Kevin I knew this was going to be an amazing day. Kevin and Elizabeth (Elegant Beginnings, Inc. Have you ever struggled with the assurance of salvation? Often times it is our faith that causes us to doubt our assurance. This is seen the greatest in sufferings - emotional or physical. We go through depression, despair, and even the dark night of the soul. We all struggle with the question of assurance especially we are suffering.

When the III Marine Expeditionary Force Band and the Republic of Korea Army Band meet, no one expected this AWESOME of a showdown. This friendly drum line competition had me cheering like crazy!

Tommy and Janet have been happily married for 16 years, but he still wanted to show Janet just how committed he is after all this time. I think it’s safe to say that Janet was completely surprised! What a beautiful couple!
