I made this video at the request of a YouTube acquaintance. Although the song is about the Prodigal Son, she wants to use it at an upcoming women's retreat. It was a little bit tricky trying to come up with images to fit into that context, but I did the best I could. The end result is sort of a mixed Prodigal Son/Prodigal Daughter combo.
The song was written by Benny Hester and John Parenti.
This video is the nineteenth in a multi-part series entitled "Healing Relationships through Forgiveness.” It deals with the Principle #19: Decide together on the larger issues in unity. When we have sinned or done something against another (spouse, child, friend, etc.), we have first sinned against God and must reconcile with Him. After this, we must go to the person we have wronged and ask for forgiveness. Now we move on to how to prevent conflicts from occurring in the first place. In this section, Dr. Jones discusses how to deal with the larger difficulties in a relationship which cannot be covered over.
As students are going back to school, now is a great time to get them excited about sharing the Gospel and making a difference. This video is an excellent encourager for youth groups asking kids, "What is your here moment?" What is God calling you to do right where you are at? God has placed you where you are for such a time as this. Once you know what your “Here Moment” is, the real question is what are you going to do with it? Read Esther 4:14
