Eric Church 'Why Not Me' For Las Vegas Victims

Country superstar Eric Church was a headliner at the Route 91 Harvest Festival just two days before the tragic shootings in Las Vegas. He stood on the very same stage as Jason Aldean did when shots started in on the crowd. After the incident, Church was watching an interview on CNN, he heard the story of Sonny Melton, who lost his life that night. Sonny's wife, Heather, spoke of how he was a huge Eric Church fan and they attended the festival all weekend. They even had plans to see Church at the Grand Ole Opry just a few days after the festival, but that never happened. Obviously, Church was filled with emotion and decided to put those feelings into a song. He penned 'Why Not Me' and dedicated it to Sonny. Today, he's performing this song for the first time at the Opry and saving 2 seats for Heather and Sonny. Let's continue to pray for all of those effected by these tragic events.

What an incredible moment that shows their joy and love for the Lord! “With the recent wildfires that threatened different parts of the United States, help was sent out from American Samoa to assist firefighters,” reads the caption of this YouTube video. “They're called Hand Crews, generally their job is to protect natural resources from the threat of a blaze by using hand tools on the outrigs of a designated area to prevent fire from scorching further. It requires physical agility and endurance.” The caption continues: “Samoans are well known by the Fire Departments in all of the U.S. to be among the best hand crews. Listen as this "hand crew" of Samoans straight from the motherland do what all us Polynesians love to do when physically performing a task: sing. Their voices harmoniously echo through the forest as they approach their day's end in a symphony praising God for his protection and guidance over them. Isn't it beautiful?” What a wonderful sight to see! And they all have such great voices that are singing out a lovely song. They end the song with a chant in their language and a loud Amen! “Amazing!” comments one person on YouTube after watching the video. “They know where their help comes from. Such good voices.” We hope you enjoyed this video and it was able to bring a smile to your face today! Psalm 24:8-10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory! Selah
