Kristin Ottolino and her dad, John Cooper, are both colorblind. So when Kristin had a chance to get a special pair of glasses for her dad she jumped on the opportunity. These special glasses allow people who are colorblind to see colors the way the rest of us do. And when Kristin surprised her dad with them the first thing this 84-year-old veteran did was to look at the American flag. This hero fought for our country but had never seen the flag in all it's colorful glory. You can tell this tough guy is overwhelmed taking in the full beauty all around him, but when he tell them that the flag was 'always beautiful' I was moved. What a special moment to witness!

Each year, 30 percent of school children worldwide are bullied. In fact, bullying is now the number one act of violence against young people in America today. Burger King set out to bring awareness and the result is absolutely shocking. At a normal restaurant, they found that only a handful of people stepped up for a young boy being bullied. But when they started to 'bully' their famous burgers by messing them up, nearly everyone stepped up to the counter and complained. More people stood up for a burger than they did for an actual human being. When you put this epidemic into perspective like this, it's completely eye-opening. We all need to band together and stand up for what it right in this world. No wonder this video is going viral.

Dr. Elvis Francois is an orthopedic surgeon at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Recently, he was in between spine trauma surgery cases and decided to relieve some stress in the most beautiful way. Just listen as this talented doctor starts to sing 'Feeling Good.' I cannot get over that smooth sounding voice as he sings into the camera. Dr. Francois says that music is medicine and there's no doubt that hearing his voice would brighten anyone's day. Who else is in awe of this incredible talent? Wow!

Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson East and her husband, Andrew, are no stranger to living in the public eye. Together, they share parts of their daily lives online through vlogs. But today, Shawn is opening up about her recent miscarriage and it's got the whole world talking. Many people shy away from this topic, but Shawn and her husband wanted to be open and honest about the heartache and struggles that they are facing. There are so many emotions and questions that can go through a couple's mind after a difficult situation like this, so it's amazing to see a public figure help combat the stigma. Waldwick High School decided to spread some kindness throughout their student body in the most amazing way. Anonymous compliments were written and then the students read them out loud. It's so heartwarming to read the sweet words that other students wrote for one another. In a world filled with hate and violence, sometimes it's good to take a step back and remember why we all love each other. This poor dog was fighting for her life after falling in a deep well. She was losing her strength when a villager saw her and called in a rescue. When they arrived, they saw this scared dog treading water. She could have been swimming for hours. Thankfully, a kind man rappelled down the well and brought this dog up to the surface. Now, this sweet animal is being cared for as she recovers. I'm so glad there are still such Good Samaritans in the world. Prayers for this pup as she finds her forever home.

Every home football game, Crestview High School plans a theme. For this particular game Coach Dan Mager decided to honor our nations veterans in the most amazing way. At the start, players and cheerleaders ran onto the field waving American flags. After the game, fans, veterans and players from both sides took to the field for an even more amazing show of patriotism. They waved flags and joined their voices together and started to sing 'God Bless The USA.' In a time when if feels like everyone is separated by hate, this beautiful display of love and patriotism is absolutely amazing. Fireworks capped off the night and Coach Mager says, "I don't think there was a dry eye here." This is definitely more than football and it's going to be a night no one ever forgets.
