Choir Stuns Judges On X Factor With 'This Is Me' Performance

“I am not a stranger to the dark, Hide away, they say, 'Cause we don't want your broken parts, I've learned to be ashamed of all my scars, Run away, they say, No one'll love you as you are” Performing “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman, LMA Choir gave a truly stunning performance on The X Factor UK. Judges Robbie Williams and Ayda Field were quick to their feet in support of a moving song! We loved hearing the backstory on how the group was formed and seeing their support of one another. The group is made up of students from a local musical theatre class. From the first few notes of the opening solo, it was obvious that this group was made up of incredibly talented vocalists! The choir itself is not very large but their passion and obvious love of performing is contagious. “This is Me” has become an empowering anthem after the success of The Greatest Showman film. The strength in the words conveys to young and old alike, those who have suffered because of being “different”. We truly believe that our strength comes from God, but it is important to remind ourselves that He intends us to be strong, victorious, and confident in the unique person He created us to be! “I won't let them break me down to dust, I know that there's a place for us, For we are glorious” We love the joy that the LMA Choir brought to this performance! A very non-traditional choral group that packed an impressive and inspiring performance!

95-Year-Old Musician Julian Lee Plays Piano After Suffering Stroke

95-Year-Old Julian Lee has been ”tickling the ivories” his whole life. But this great jazz musician hasn’t played in years after a stroke left him unable to use his right arm. When famous trumpeter James Morrison dropped in to visit Julian they decided to play some tunes together. Julian was born in New Zealand. He was blind from birth but that didn’t stop his obvious love of music. By age six, he was hooked. His ability to hear music and arrange complicated patterns made him wildly popular in the 1960s. Julian arranged pieces for Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee, Chet Baker and a host of other jazz “greats”. In the 70’s Julian moved to Australia and began a well-known career there. He continued to play and even hosted a weekly radio program. More recently Julian has suffered from strokes. He stopped playing after losing the use of his right arm. When a few of his jazz musician friends stopped by for a visit, they couldn’t help but encourage Julian to play again. And boy, did he! The friends set up a keyboard near Julian’s chair and within moments, he was playing with his left hand like nothing had happened. His “runs” on the keyboard were amazing but what was the most capturing was Julian’s smile as he got into the music. There is no stopping this great pianist from doing what he loves most and is so passionate about! We’re all smiles too seeing Julian in his element again with his friends!

'Christ Is Risen' - Mack Brock Acoustic Performance

‘Hallelujah, Christ is risen from the grave Hallelujah, Christ is risen from the grave All throughout eternity Our song will be the same Hallelujah, Christ is risen from the grave’ God truly made the ultimate sacrifice for us when He sent His only Son to Earth to die for us on the cross. After three days, He rose from the dead. After that, all of our sins were forgiven and now, we're free of our chains and can live out our days in Heaven above. That is such a glorious blessing, indeed. Because of this second chance at life, we know that He lives through us and always stands beside us. It’s an incredible feeling knowing that we have the love and strength of God running through us and we are sure to be reminded of this as you listen to the lyrics of ‘Christ Is Risen’ from Mack Brock. Today, we get to hear a very special acoustic rendition of this song and it’s absolutely beautiful. We all need to be reminded from time to time of God’s amazing grace and power. He has truly given us so many blessings in this life and there is no way we can thank Him enough. I just love how Mack Brock puts his whole heart into this song and you can tell that he has a passion for leading worship. This is one of those songs that will stick with you long after it’s over and I find myself coming back to it again and again. Who else is saying amen?

Singer Brett Eldridge Croons Love Someone To His Dog Edgar

“Everywhere I want to go and Everywhere I want to be at Everywhere I've ever been Everything I'll ever need Is sitting right here next to me” Who doesn’t love a man and his dog? Country singing, Brett Eldredge is at it again singing an upbeat love song to his truest best friend, Edgar! The lyrics paint a moving picture of loving someone and the way love makes you feel about each other. Clearly, those feelings run deep for Brett and his famous pooch. At the start of the video, Edgar is seen dozing off into dreamy-land where he begins to think of his time with Brett. Together the two are shown in Edgar’s favorite moments– chasing a ball into the lake, eating a fancy dinner, and even twirling in the park. Of course, each moment is made perfect by his favorite person crooning sweet nothings in his floppy dog ears! “I look at you and I understand, Sure feels good to love someone” Together the two clearly have a deep relationship, at least Edgar is very sure he is Brett’s special someone! These two speak each other’s language, share the same favorite ice cream flavor, even the joy of a Sunday drive on Brett’s bike with sidecar! (Edgar doesn’t have his license.) But even Edgar knows when it’s time to share his best friend. He quickly “helps” Brett find a new friend at the dog park in an age old leashes-tangled-together “meet cute” (when a couple meets for the first time on film). It doesn’t take Edgar long to realize this might not have been his best move as he gives some jealous glances! The end of the video has man and dog loving their moments together, no jealousy in sight! But keep watching until the end when the videos wraps up with adorable home video when Brett first got his pal, Edgar! Awww!

Michael Ketterer Performs Stunning Version Of 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough'

“Ain't no mountain high Ain't no valley low, ain't no river wide enough baby If you need me call me no matter where you are No matter how far don't worry baby Just call my name I'll be there in a hurry You don't have to worry” In a stunning vocal performance, Michael Ketterer sang Diana Ross’ famous “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” for the final round of America’s Got Talent. Unexpectedly, the pediatric mental health nurse from Knoxville, Tennessee sang the well-known rock anthem in a unique way. Completely stripped of instrumental backup save a piano, Michael took a chance on his voice. The result was truly breathtaking! When asked why he chose the song, Ketterer was clear that he had “higher” motives and “was dedicating to my God because he moved mountains.” It was clear from the passion that Michael offered to his performance that he saw the importance of the lyrics in his own life. There was no denying that he truly connected with the song. By the end of his performance, the judges were on their feet in support. Clearly surprised by Michael’s choice on song and style, Mel B. applauded him for being “brave”. Judge Simon Cowell encouraged the viewers to vote if for no other reason than Michael being a “great, great person”. We think that anyone who has taken time to learn about Michael Ketterer’s story would agree with Simon Cowell. There is also no doubt that this man is truly talented and if he continues to sing his heart out, we think he’s got a long performing career ahead of him!

Carrie Underwood On Miscarriage And Trust In God

Country superstar Carrie Underwood is known worldwide for her amazing voice. Now, she’s opening up about her struggles with miscarriage and faith in God. Carrie Underwood performed on countless stages for thousands of people. Besides being a talented musician, Carrie is also a loving wife and mother to her son, Isaiah. Recently, she took to social media to announce her second pregnancy with husband Mike Fisher. But what we didn’t know was the struggle Carrie went through to get to this point. Today, Carrie is sitting down with CBS This Morning correspondent Tracy Smith to discuss the uphill battle her family faced and how God played a big part in it all. This country superstar had decided that 2017 was going to be a big year for her. “2017 just wasn’t how I imagined it. I kind of planned that 2017 was going to be the year I was going to work on new music and have a baby.” Carrie and Mike became pregnant early that year, but sadly it ended in miscarriage. After this heartache, they were able to put their trust in God and move forward. She said, ‘God, we know this just wasn’t your timing and that is all right. We will bounce back and figure a way through it.” But after 2 more miscarriages, Carrie found herself in a dark spot where she was angry. One night, while home alone with her son, Carrie thought she was suffering more another pregnancy loss. That’s when she cried out to God and prayed like never before. “For the first time, I feel like I actually told God how I felt. And I feel like that’s what we’re suppose to do.” A few days later, Carrie went to the doctor and they surprised her with the news that she was still pregnant and doing great. That’s when she exclaimed, “He heard me.” What an incredible story of faith and trust in God during a dark period in our lives. He will truly see us through it all.

Pastor Shares Powerful Impact Of A Muslim Man's Words

As Christians we are called to love one another. Pastor Greg Locke shares what happened to a Muslim man when he tried to enjoy a day out with his family. Sadly, the man did not experience love or kindness from others. Recently, Pastor Greg was at a trampoline game park with his family. While they were there he saw a Muslim family enter the facility. Dressed in their traditional clothing and head coverings, the family proceeded to enjoy a day of fun. As the younger children went off to play, the father planned to play a game of pool. It was as the family was quickly leaving that Pastor Greg noticed the man had not finished a game. He stopped them and asked the man why he was leaving without finishing. Then he heard something that made his heart sink. “Because I can’t get anybody to play with me” That’s when Pastor Greg, known for being a very direct speaker, told the camera he was infuriated. He shared that while he is very open about his political standings and beliefs on other religious faiths, specifically Islam, it was unacceptable for this man to feel this way. Should anyone feel unwelcome no matter their race or sexual or religious choice? Christians are called by the Father to love one another and to be the love of Christ to others. Pastor Greg was saddened to see that this man was practically shunned because of his visible religious choice. “I think it’s a shame that that family came and left because he felt slighted by the people around him. That’s not the mercy of Christ, that’s not the love of the Gospel… Jesus died for the sins of the ENTIRE world.” This is a great reminder to show love and respect for others. May we be challenged to share the love of Christ in our everyday actions and interactions with others!

'Dancing Doc' Puts Smiles On Kid's Faces Every Day With His Moves

It’s so difficult to think of children having to battle difficult medical issues. This “Dancing Doc” is determined to bring a smile to his pediatric patients one dance at a time. Sometimes laughter truly is the best medicine! Tony Adkins is a pediatric physician’s assistant specializing in neurosurgery. Working out of Children’s Hospital of Orange County, CA, P.A. Tony often sees patients at their worst. His first “prescription” for dancing came after one of his patients was fighting post-op depression and not wanting to get out of bed. Tony knew he had to do something and began to think about what children connect with – music and dancing. The next day he saw the boy, they had a full dance party. Seeing the boy’s Mom light up and experience joy with her son again was also a special moment for Dr. Adkins. He knew that he was on to something! “There’s nothing better than seeing a smile on my patient’s faces or to hear them laugh — it’s self-care for me too," Adkins added. "Nothing is more important than the health of a child, and I am so lucky to play an integral role in that." The families of ill children often suffer silently beside them. Having that moment of release and happiness does so much good for the soul! Being able to encourage and uplift with something as simple as dancing brought Tony closer to his patients than before. “Being in neurosurgery we see some of the worst things that can possible take place for a kid. I have been blessed with a sound mind and heart to uplift these little kids. Each one of them gets a special treatment from me all the time. They are my inspiration and my motivation to be the best provider I can be.” Thank God for this caring doctor who uses his gifts and abilities to help others through difficult times!

Young Man With Down Syndrome Belts Out 'The National Anthem'

30-year-old Stefan Xidas is a huge Cubs baseball team fan. This young man with Down Syndrome has a heart for helping others and that passion recently helped a dream come true. Stefan was able to sing the National Anthem at Wrigley Field! Stefan quickly caught the eye of Cubs chairman Tom Ricketts when he created a GoFundMe Page to raise money for the Special Olympics Illinois. The challenge to Mr. Ricketts was that if Stefan could raise $5,000 he would have the chance to sing the National Anthem before a Cubs game. “I'd like to make a deal with Tom Ricketts, the owner of the Chicago Cubs. If I'm able to raise $5,000 for the Special Olympics Organization, Tom Ricketts will let me sing the National Anthem at a Cubs game.“ Amazingly, Stefan’s goal was quickly topped. He easily hit his fundraising goal and then some – $18,800 to be exact. It only took three days! A Cubs charity also stepped up and offered to donate another $18,000 bringing Stefan’s grand total to more than $36,000. THAT’S something to sing about! Stefan posted an update to his GoFundMe Page thanking everyone for their support and sharing a bit of exciting news: “I’m excited to announce that because of all of you, my dream is going to come true. The Chicago Cubs have asked me to perform the National Anthem before their game this Monday, September 10th at 7:05pm vs. the Milwaukee Brewers.” Holding his hand over his heart with a giant smile from ear-to-ear, Stefan sang an truly moving rendition of the National Anthem. His enthusiasm for the “great American pastime” and his love and respect for the Anthem were so touching! Well done, Stefan!

Zach Williams Performs 'Survivor: Live From Harding Prison'

“For so long I carried the weight of my past, Cripple by burdens like stones on my back, I thought I had fallen too far from your grace, But you came and showed me the way” Dove Award winner, Zach Williams has a passion for those who are incarcerated. He recently released his song “Survivor” which was recorded live in Harding Prison near Nashville, TN. This project is truly important to Zach. “I have felt a calling to share my music and stories with men and women in prison in the hopes that lives can be changed by the power of the gospel. My prayer is to see chains broken and walls shattered. God has a plan for each and every one of our lives but we have to fully surrender to the Cross before those plans are revealed." Zach and his band went to Harding Prison and performed their uplifting worship songs for about 250 prisoners. Each song was an anthem of Hope to those who need to be encouraged that even after bad decisions, they can connect with a loving Heavenly Father. Ultimately it is through Christ alone that we are given freedom from death. That is a message that everyone needs to hear, especially those who may feel that there is no hope and no future. Zack’s music does just that. “Now all I can see are the fields of your grace, Wherever I run your leading the way, You shook the shackles off my feet, I found redemption on my knees, You gave me hope you gave me something to believe” There is no doubt that this anthem is a connecting point for us all. Everyone feels trapped and burdened by something in their lives. Praise God that He has given us redemption and offers us unending grace!

'The Breakup Song' - Francesca Battistelli Live Performance

There’s no doubt that Francesca Battistelli has a heart for the Lord. The way she leads worship is absolutely amazing and I love hearing her sing out to God. This live performance of ‘The Breakup Song’ from Francesca is just what I needed to hear today to cast out all the fear and doubt. I love the chorus when she sings: ‘Fear, you don't own me There ain't no room in this story And I ain't got time for you Telling me what I'm not Like you know me well guess what? I know who I am I know I'm strong And I am free Got my own identity So fear, you will never be welcome here’ There may be times in our lives when fear starts to creep in and we may even doubt our relationship with God. These are the moments when we need to put all our trust in the Lord and He will guide us through the dark moments. With the strength of the Lord behind us, there is truly nothing that can stand in the way and that’s exactly what this song will remind you of. It’s so important to remember that we serve a mighty and powerful God. Fear may try to break us down, but with the Lord always near, fear doesn't stand a chance. I'm so glad that Francesca Battistelli put these words into song and now we can all shout His glory from the rooftops. Who else is saying amen right along with me?
