102-Year-Old WWII Veteran Takes Huge Leap of Faith

This 102-year-old WWII veteran is breaking all the stereotypes as she checks skydiving off of her bucket list. It’s not always easy getting older. It can be hard to deal with changes in your mind and body. And sadly, a lot of people think that once you get older, it means you are limited in what you can do. People will tell you all of the things that you will miss out on or the things that you are no longer allowed to do. But time and time again, the elderly are breaking the mold and showing that age is really nothing but a number. Vivian "Millie" Bailey is one of those inspiring people. At the age of 102, she is taking a huge leap of faith and jumping out of an airplane. Millie was moved to take the plunge after President George H.W. Bush did it at age 90. This WWII veteran said that skydiving was something she had always wanted to do but didn’t know if someone her age could do it. And this incredible moment all came together while Millie was filming an episode of Honor Flight Heroes. She mentioned that skydiving was on her bucket list but really didn’t want to pay that much for the experience. That’s when the program decided to surprise Millie by paying for the jump and capturing it all on film. After arriving to the ground safely, Millie was congratulated by many of her family and friends. She told ABC7 Staff, "It was wonderful, a real thrill. I was scared for one minute, it felt like I was tumbling and then I thought, somebody is holding onto me." What an incredible reminder that age is all about what we make it!

Changed

I made a song changed to show my peeps that our back grounds has its changed being portrayed as a bad person

If I were a tentmaker

After hearing the stories of hundreds of returned tentmakers, this is what I have gleaned from them.

Bass Singer Sings A Cappella 'Blackbird' Cover

A talented bass singer does an amazing job singing an a cappella cover of ‘Blackbird’ by The Beatles. “Blackbird singing in the dead of night, take these broken wings and learn to fly, all your life You were only waiting for this moment to arise, blackbird singing in the dead of night Take these sunken eyes and learn to see, all your life You were only waiting for this moment to be free, blackbird fly, blackbird fly Into the light of a dark black night” The singer in the video is named Geoff Castellucci and he has his own music channel on YouTube. “This version of Blackbird was produced/arranged/sung by yours truly, please be kind on the upper harmony parts, I do my very best,” he wrote as a caption to this video. Geoff has incredible range and it is so impressive to hear him sing the really low notes as well as the notes that are quite high. And his harmonies throughout the song are just wonderful! “You do not give yourself enough credit for your upper register. Your higher notes, in my honest opinion, sound just as fantastic as your lower,” comments one person on YouTube after watching the video. “You've got a great vocal range, and it's obvious that you've taken a lot of time and effort to hone it. Be proud, my dude. Be proud.” “One of my favorite Basses covering one of my favorite bands and in my opinion one of their best songs! What more could I ask for?!” writes another person on YouTube. We hope you enjoyed this fabulous cover of ‘Blackbird’ from Geoff Castellucci today! Romans 8:37-39 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Psalm 37:4

I spent four hours in Heaven and Had a talk with the Father

One of the many trips to heaven ive had told in my book Majesties of His Kingdom

I went to heaven and met the Trinity- I begged God to let me stay.

In 1998 while going through a tough time God called me to Heaven to comfort me.

God moves in mysterious ways

Sometimes God just wants us to spend time alone with Him and listen.

Til My Last Breath

I wrote this song for our friend, Dave Busby, a little while before he died in 1997. Dave was an amazing man! He had polio as a child, walked with a limp and had thin, polio damaged legs. He had liver disease, heart disease and diabetes. But he also had cystic fibrosis and by the time he died from it, he was the oldest living person with cystic fibrosis at 46 years old. But while he lived, no one was more alive! Despite his infirmities, he lifted weights and made his upper arms and torso amazingly buff looking! Dave had a great sense of humor and a great laugh! He had intense eyes, a raspy voice with a southern twang and could speak with so much passion and conviction about His Savior, Jesus. He became a highly in-demand youth speaker who spoke to thousands of youth and adults across the nation for years - all the while battling such physical challenges and fighting to keep his lungs filled with air - something that would have held anyone back - but not Dave!

Part way through his ministry years, Dave received a new understanding of the grace of God and it truly transformed him and his message. His theme became the love and grace of God and he spoke of it with a passion and conviction!

I wrote and recorded this simple version of this song so long ago and it's just sat unheard in the archives. I've never sung it live or recorded it on an album. But the Covid-19 pandemic reminded me of this song and Dave again, as I thought that I could be the one facing my last breath at any time. And so now, this song is as much my heart's cry as it represents what was Dave's.

I remember when I was writing this song and showing it to Sandy, I had one line that she wanted me to change and her change was perfect. I don't remember what I originally wrote, but her contribution to this song is the beautiful lyric that so describes God's grace: "You surprised me when you looked at me and smiled".

As we each await the day when our final breath will come, may this song lift your eyes to the One who first breathed His breath of life into us and will do so again after our death if we have repented of our sin and received His grace through faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ!

I highly recommend you watch a Dave Busby sermon on YouTube or listen to him on his website www.DaveBusby.com. We were so privileged to know Dave and his wife, Lawanna and call them our friends! I'd like you to receive from his great voice too!

We Speak Life-By the Heart of the City Band - OFFICIAL VIDEO

A Native American style song originally written for the Pine Ridge Reservation. Historically, so much death and cursing has been spoken over the Reservations. This song was originally recorded on the CD "Healing in You" by the multi-ethnic Heart of the City Band. This video was recorded at the Heart of the City Music Factory in Anoka, Minnesota. 2 Teens Sing Duet Of 'Rise Up' And 'Don’t Give Up On Me'

Two teens move us with their stunning duet of ‘Rise Up’ from Andra Day and ‘Don’t Give Up On Me’ from Andy Grammer. This beautiful mash up reminds us all that there is always a shoulder to lean on in difficult times. “And I'll rise up I'll rise like the day I'll rise up I'll rise unafraid I'll rise up And I'll do it a thousand times again” You may recognize Blake Walker and Lyza Bull from the viral One Voice Children’s Choir. Both teens are former members of this sensation group. Over the years, One Voice Children’s Choir has performed countless covers of worship songs and contemporary hits. All of these performances have garnered millions of views online. Now, Blake and Lyza are stepping out on their own for this awe-inspiring medley of ‘Rise Up’ and ‘Don’t Give Up On Me.’ Just listen as they belt out these powerful words. “'Cause I'm not givin' up I'm not givin' up, givin' up No, not yet Even when I'm down to my last breath Even when they say there's nothin' left So don't give up on” Separately, these two songs were huge hits for the original artists. And hearing them combined together in such a beautiful way is just the dose of comfort that my heart needed today. There’s no doubt that Blake and Lyza are talented beyond their years and we certainly have not seen these last of these stunning vocalists. Who else is hoping for more duets in the future?
