Acts 8:7-23

7 For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. 8 And there was great joy in that city. 9 But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one: 10 To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God. 11 And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries. 12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. 13 Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done. 14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: 15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:

1 John 2:15-29

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. 18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. 20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. 21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. 22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

Breaking Bad (2 Timothy 3:13 & Selected Scriptures)

Breaking Bad is a multi-award winning, well directed American crime drama television series created and produced by Vince Gilligan. The main Character, Walter White was a respected mild-mannered high school chemistry teacher, who after receiving a terminal cancer diagnoses, makes a series of decisions that took him much further than he could have ever imagined.

Breaking Bad is by no means a Christian production, but the series from beginning to end is filled to the brim with Scriptural realities. The production testifies to multiple realities found in God's Word. Brother Cliff in this message, being very careful not to spoil any of the plot for those who may be watching or planning to watch, combines powerful images from the series, and puts together with a powerful message, intended to provoke, bring light, conviction, and insight.

This short sermon by Cliff Simon was made to show sinners their need for Jesus, and using a very popular award winning series as a hook to attract them.

God's Plan to Prosper You (Part 3)

It is God's desire to prosper you. But He will prosper you according to His plan. Part of that plan includes giving as Pastor Jeff shares God's Plan to Prosper You, but you must be an active participant in your willingness to give. Genesis 3

God’s World Arranging Heart in a Florist

In this message we’re going to look for God’s world arranging heart through the vocation of a florist. Why did God make so many flowers (and so many flower lovers)? (We have a lot to be thankful for…)

“See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone. Flowers appear on the earth;
the season of singing has come.”
Song of Songs 2:11-12, NIV

“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.”
Matthew 6:28-29, NIV

“God delights in diversity, and shows his rich provision for us, and all of his creation, in floral diversity. Remember, every plant has innumerable interactions with pollinators, fungi (that uptake the required nutrients for the plant), herbivores, and the humans that appreciate them at several levels (aesthetic, utilitarian - food production, medicine, theological - various plants are powerful symbols for many cultures, and teach us in-numerable lessons).”
Dr. Vernon Peters, Chair, Biology Department, The King's University College

“To the Father is attributed the beginning of activity, and the fountain and wellspring of all things; to the Son, wisdom, counsel, and the ordered disposition of all things; [and] to the Spirit is assigned the power and efficacy of that activity.” John Calvin, Institutes of Christian Religion

“Jesus is the way (things are) the wisdom (in behind and arranger of all things), the shaper and holder

The New Age, part 5; C. David Coyle

The shortcoming of the New Age movement or philosophy is that its adherents actually believe that there is something "new under the sun." The world is the same, man's nature is the same, the rules that govern them are the same. They close their eyes to what is and expect to open them to what they hope it will be. That is misplaced faith.
