Hebrews 11 36 Some faced jeers and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. 37 They were put to death by stoning;[e] they were sawed in two; they were killed by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated— 38 the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, living in caves and in holes in the ground.
39 These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, 40 since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect. https://www.susanwaldrop.org [email protected] [email protected]
We have been given a lot of authority—over more areas of life than we realize. But all this authority that Christ has given us only works with His hands‐on help. So, no more to the idea that I do my thing and God does His! If I want to live—really live—it’s not my thing and His thing. It is our thing—God and me working together.
In order to grow strong, we must grab hold of the resistance that comes against us and handle it just as we would handle the weights in a gym. We will not grow strong if we avoid resistance. “And He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV)
Jesus has always been God, and always will be God. Jesus was God before He ever came to live with us. And yes—it is good that we magnify Jesus Christ as God. But as we begin to better understand how He came to be like us and to live with us in the trenches—dying for us—well …. We will want to magnify Him even more.
Pastor Lupe Garcia preaches on Today You Will Be With Me In Paradise. The message of the cross to the one sinner who died beside Jesus and went with Him to paradise.
We can say all day long, “I can do it!” But idle talk has no real authority. At some point, we have to move from just saying, “We can do it!” to actually doing it.
We have come to know Grace for saving us and for when Jesus comes back, but for the in between (the now) it is up to us do it. What if Grace is also for the "now?"

God's version of love is different than the world's version of love. He has nothing to do with feelings, love is an action verb!

This dance drama is a tale of two people. One is lax in the things of God, and the other is studious in the things of God. A trial/storm hits them both. One is battered by the storm as she tries to fight under her own power, and the other is triumphant in the storm when she calls on the LORD with prayer and praise. But wait, there is hope...watch all the way through to find out what happens. This is a beautiful story of the Gospel and the Lords love and salvation. DO YOU FEEL LIKE THE STORM IS RAGING ALL AROUND YOU? PRAY, AND PRAISE the LORD JESUS, FOR the LORD is there for you in your storm.
How often do we expect God to answer us in the way that we want it to be? How often are we not expecting the answer in which God gives us and we want more or something else?

The woman with the issue of blood was convinced that to just touch Jesus’ clothing would fix what was wrong with her. And the same is true in today's world; the very presence of God materially fixes things. But Jesus, in bodily form, is not going to embrace us physically. We are not going to experience God's presence with any of our physical senses, short of an unusual visitation. We do, however, have (in Jesus' own words) a better option. “Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.” (John 16:7 NKJV) And once we realize the presence of God within us, we can see just how much of an advantage we have.
