One man was thoroughly shocked and brought to tears during his surprise 60th birthday party, which included his eight beloved siblings as guests. 

All anyone wants is to be somewhere and with people who will care for, protect and love them. The family is the best institution for meeting all these vital needs. While every family may not look the same, coming in different shapes and sizes, love binds the family members together.

One clip posted on YouTube is an excellent example of the love that keeps a family strong and together even after decades. 

Galo Alfonso Baca Pinto was turning 60 years old and his two daughters, Stephanie Gattone and Jackie Baca, wanted to do something special to recognize their father’s momentous birthday. 

So, they got to talking, and the two women came up with the perfect idea. They agreed upon a surprise party, with their dad surrounded by his family, including his eight siblings. 

Planning for the surprise birthday bash began a year ahead of the big day. Stephanie said her mother had some helpful advice.

“My mom was on board,” Stephanie said. “She was, like, ‘Yeah, like, let’s make it, like, if we’re almost celebrating a wedding.’”

When the big day finally arrived, Galo was taken aback by the party, especially when he spotted his older siblings at the party. 

“The second that he walked in, it was, like, immediate tears from everyone in the room,” Stephanie said. 

Galo attempted to give a speech. However, he struggled to get it out as he was overcome with emotion. Tears flowed down his face.

At one point, during the party, Stephanie noticed her father huddled with his siblings.

“I look over, and I just see all the siblings huddled, like,” Stephanie said. “And my dad is sobbing.”

Galo was moved by the show of love from the people, especially his siblings, who gathered to celebrate and recognize him.

Several students lent a helping hand, assisting a school resource officer with his touching and heartwarming marriage proposal.

All the events leading up to and surrounding a wedding ceremony are opportunities to create lifelong, cherished memories. From the reception, honeymoon and wedding, those moments will be remembered and looked back upon fondly forever. But the one event that sets everything else in motion is the proposal.

For one couple, their proposal is a story both will enjoy retelling for years. A clip posted on YouTube shows that a group of students helped a school resource officer with a dazzling and sweet proposal to the love of his life. 

The short video begins by explaining the situation and the students’ role in a marriage proposal. The kids got things started by reaching out to animal control, who then sent over a woman to handle the reported situation.

However, as the video shows, she was quickly left dumbfounded, realizing this is not like any on-the-job situation she has encountered. The woman from Animal Control walks down the school hallway as all the students split, moving to either side of the room.

As the woman walks down the hallway, she sees a banner held by other students on the far end of the room. The large decoration has a straightforward message. Once she sees the message, she stops and turns slightly, looking behind her for answers. 

She is obviously confused by the circumstances. But then it all starts to make sense.

The school resource officer walks into the frame and quickly gets down on one knee.

“I love you, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you,” the man tells the woman. “Will you marry me?”

 There is no hesitation from the young woman. 

“Of course,” she answers.

The newly engaged couple hugs as the students burst into cheers and applause.

An 85-year-old woman has been living her dream by working at a Tennessee hospital system for 50 years, and she has no plans to retire.

For most of the population, getting up and going to work in the morning is a chore. It’s an activity most individuals dread, only able to force themselves to keep going because of the paycheck. It’s an obligation to most, but to others, their occupation or job is a calling, an honor they are more than happy to fulfill.

Doris Caldwell, who cleans rooms at Tennova Healthcare, a hospital system in Tennessee, loves what she does. In fact, it has been her dream to work at those hospitals in any capacity, something she has been doing for five decades, according to a clip posted on YouTube. She desired a position, any job, where she could play a role in making others feel better. 

“The dream was of helping people, be with people,” Doris said. “And that dream is still going on.”

Doris’ terrific attitude, positive outlook and sense of purpose have had a massive impact on her coworkers, including the hospital system’s CEO and the doctors.

“Her aura is something that you want to be around,” the hospital’s CEO said.

“I’ve never heard her have a single complaint,” said one of the system’s doctors.

When asked if she had any intentions of putting away her cleaning supplies for good any time soon, Doris confirmed she had no plans to retire.

“No, I think I would just dry up and fly away,” Doris said.

Doris’ daughter, Sharon, a registered nurse, who also works for the hospital system, understands that her mother is a precious, one-of-a-kind person. 

“She’s just an amazing lady,” Sharon said with tears in her eyes.

It’s clear that Doris, because of her attitude, sense of purpose and longevity, has had a huge impact on those around her.

When one little girl accidentally left behind her best friend, a doll named Beatrice, on a flight, a kind pilot went out of his way to reunite the two pals.

Children growing up use their imagination to keep themselves entertained and occupied. Playing games with friends is one way in which they do this. Now, those friends can come in the real or imaginary variety. Still, other children may become close to inanimate objects, such as baby dolls.

That’s what happened to 9-year-old Valentina, who became best friends with her doll, Beatrice. However, the young woman was devastated when she accidentally left Beatrice behind on a flight. It seemed that their friendship was destined to end. 

But according to a video posted on YouTube, that was not the case thanks to a kind and loving American Airlines pilot, James Danen.

The short clip explains that after Beatrice went missing, Valentina’s family went to social media and requested help. That post eventually caught the attention of James Danen. After he saw the post on Facebook, he went to work.

James contacted the lost and found of another airline at an airport in Tokyo. While his first attempt was unsuccessful, he reached out again and found Beatrice, the video points out.

Then, after securing Beatrice, James returned the doll to Valentina in Texas. The doll traveled more than 5,800 miles with James.

Valentina was thrilled to have her best friend back, someone she thought was gone forever.

Valentina and James shared a sweet and loving embrace after he handed the young woman her best friend. 

“I felt over the moon,” Valentina said. “I know Beatrice was going to be mad at me, but I was happy to see her again.”

For James, seeing the two pals reunited brought him great happiness.

“My nature, I like helping people,” James said. “I mean, that’s just what I like doing.”

One father who had been deployed with the military, serving in the Middle East, found a unique way to surprise his young son following his return to the United States.

The men and women who serve in the nation’s armed forces deserve all the respect and praise they receive. They willingly put themselves on the frontlines, often in dangerous situations and places around the world. But their often-extended periods of deployment can be tough on their families.

A video posted on YouTube shows the pure, unbridled joy and happiness of one young man, 7-year-old Eli, after he spotted his military father. 

Sgt. Perry Chronister, a member of the U.S. National Guard, had been away from his family for about a year. The video mentions that he had been serving in the Middle East. 

After returning to the United States, Perry wanted to surprise Eli with his return. But he needed some help from his son’s elementary school in order to do it. 

The mascot of Eli’s Ohio elementary school is a tiger. But little did the second grader know that the man in the suit was his father.

The clip shows the tiger walking into the classroom and then soon after kneeling in front of Eli. When it is time for the big reveal, Perry removes his mask and Eli leaps on his dad, hugging him and knocking him to the ground.

Eli’s reaction is more than enough to say that he is thrilled to have his father back with him. That’s a moment that father and son are sure to cherish for the rest of their lives. 

For those students who may have been left bewildered by what they have just witnessed, a teacher tries to explain the situation to the rest of the children.

A musically gifted young woman battling a rare disease turned in a stunning vocal performance that left hundreds of people on their feet applauding and in tears.

Life can deliver some devastating and tragic blows. It’s an often unfair experience, forcing some of society’s most vulnerable members to deal with life-or-death circumstances. However, there are still people who, no matter what they are currently dealing with or have gone through in the past, refuse to quit, choosing to persist.

Emma Kok is one of those special people who refuses to give up and take on a defeatist mentality. Instead, as a clip posted on YouTube displays, the 15-year-old is going after her dreams of singing despite her medical condition. 

Emma, as the orchestra's conductor explains, has a rare disease that affects how she ingests food. 

“Unfortunately, Emma has a rare but terrible disease,” the man says. “Her stomach is paralyzed. She cannot eat. All the food goes through a little tube, directly into her stomach.”

However, as he states, Emma is not letting that stop her. Her beautiful voice and extraordinary talent have already been noticed, winning a prestigious singing competition, The Voice Kids. 

After his introductory remarks, Emma takes the stage, giving an outstanding performance. She has a voice much older than her young age. She has impeccable control and hits notes that many singers could only wish to hit.

Throughout her time on stage, Emma’s magnificent performance causes tears to stream down the faces of many in the audience. The camera catches several people wiping away their tears. 

Once she concludes, the several hundred people in the audience give the brave young woman a rousing and well-deserved standing ovation. 

Even at the young age of 15, Emma is an inspiration to many. She is not letting her circumstances keep her from going after her goals and dreams.

A news anchor was thoroughly surprised and immediately became emotional when her boyfriend, a fellow reporter, popped the question in the studio.

Reporters and anchors are seasoned professionals when it comes to rolling with the unexpected. They are used to reporting on breaking, unanticipated news as soon as it becomes available, with very little notice. However, one anchor was thrown for a loop, visibly rattled by one story she read in the station’s studio.

Cornelia Nicholson is the weekend anchor at WRCB, a station in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Her boyfriend, Riley Nagel, a reporter, also works at the southeastern Tennessee television station. In a clip posted on YouTube, Cornelia was recording a promo for an upcoming broadcast when she came across something she was not expecting. But it turned out to be easily the best story of the day. 

“Coming up, we have the story of two young journalists who just so happened to find love in the same industry,” she read. “Local 3’s Riley Nagel joins us in the studio for a special report.”

Throughout the read, Cornelia does everything she can to keep from sounding too surprised. 

After her introduction, her reporter boyfriend entered the studio carrying a bouquet of flowers, claiming that he does, in fact, have a special report.

Riley then walks over to the anchor’s desk, gets down on one knee, flashes a big diamond ring and then proceeds to ask for Cornelia’s hand in marriage.

“Cornelia Nicholson, would you marry me?” Riley asks.

She is so surprised and overwhelmed that she can’t even verbally give Riley an answer to his all-important question. Instead, she shakes her head, “yes.”

After accepting his proposal, she places her left toward Riley. 

“I gotta put it on?” Riley asks.

Again, Cornelia, still taking in the sweet moment, simply responds, “Yes.”

That’s a touching, moving, and because of Riley, an inventive moment that both will remember for the rest of their lives.

One young woman who underwent a heart transplant had an emotional meeting with the family of the person whose heart she received.

There is nothing more precious than life. It’s a gift that must be honored and protected at all costs. One way to do that is through organ donation. Organ donation can and does save lives every day. For one reason or another, people will experience issues with their vital organs and then require new ones in order to continue living. 

Thanks to one literal life-saving gift of a new heart, one young woman, Katherine Schroeder-Hermann, has been able to finish school, get married and partake in races, according to a video posted on YouTube. All these things would have been impossible if not for Desiree Burge being an organ donor. Katherine received Desiree’s heart. 

The clip captures the moment when Katherine met Desiree’s family. As the video begins, Katherine enters a room at the Cleveland Clinic, where she hugs Desiree’s father. 

As the video points out, Katherine has spent a ton of time in the hospital. The young woman was born with what is described as a “rare heart disease,” which has led to her having undergone more than 20 heart procedures.

But when Katherine was 21, she received her life-changing gift, Desiree’s heart. He received a heart transplant. 

“I’m always living for myself, but now I’m also living for someone else’s life now,” Katherine told Desiree’s father. 

As the video nears its conclusion, viewers learn that Katherine wasn’t the only person whose life Desiree touched with her precious gift of organ donation. Desiree, who passed away at the young age of 39, helped save the lives of five people in total. 

Organ donation is a beautiful and wonderful thing that could literally save the life of another person.

A woman was thrown for a loop when her furry, four-legged friend, who had been missing for a decade, returned to her life.

Animals are remarkable creatures who are near and dear to the hearts of many. Those critters have a way of finding their way into our hearts, becoming like family members. When and if they happen to go missing, their absence is noticeable and felt. It can cause much pain and sadness, as any pet owner knows. 

One woman, Carol Holmes, mentioned that her beloved cat, Bob, found his way back to her after the animal had been missing for 10 years. The day the cat, named after Carol’s later father, was recovered was significant to her. 

A video posted on YouTube mentions that on Aug. 19, Carol received emails in her inbox. The messages were from the chip provider who had microchipped her cat, Bob. They had located the animal, who had been missing for 10 years.

At first, Carol did not believe the news herself.

“And my first thought was, ‘This must be a mistake because Bob had been gone for so long.’ But I called her, and she said, ‘Yes, it is Bob.’”

The video points out that the day Bob the cat was located, Aug. 19, was Carol’s late father’s birthday. He would have been 94 years old. 

Carol mentioned that several people believe the reappearance of her long-departed furry friend is the work of God and possibly a sign from her later father. 

“So many people think that it definitely is, like, a form of divine intervention, a message from Dad,” Carol said. 

Carol added that the return of her feline, Bob, is an indication that no one should give up hope. Also, it's a reminder to “have your beloved, furry family members microchipped,” Carol said.

A young, frightened child was in a scary position and was caught on camera asking someone to help him find his mother.

The beginning of the school year brings all kinds of excited anticipation, anxiety and worries. Students enter new classrooms with a brand-new teacher who will guide them as they take on fresh and challenging material. 

But students aren’t the only people who have their worries multiplied with the start of the new academic calendar. Parents want nothing more than for their children to succeed and stay safe. That’s why what happened to Kelly Mulholland and her 5-year-old son is so frightening.

A video posted on YouTube explained how Kelly’s 5-year-old son was dropped off at the wrong bus stop after his first day of kindergarten. When she arrived at the bus stop to pick him up, her child was nowhere to be seen. 

In a desperate attempt to find his mother, the young man was caught on camera ringing a doorbell and, through tears, pleading with someone to help him “find my mommy.”

Kelly, in the clip, called the situation her “literal worst nightmare.”

Another child on the bus told Kelly that her son had gotten off at the stop before that one. 

Thankfully, Kelly found her son and another little girl about a half mile away.

“Somebody, finally, was home,” Kelly said. “They knocked on the door, the lady let them in.”

To make matters worse, the temperature on the day Kelly’s son got off at the wrong stop, sending her on a frantic, was a blistering 105 degrees.

Inside Edition reports that Kelly’s son now has two Apple AirTags – in his backpack and on his wrist – to track his location. 

The outlet adds the school district’s bus drivers have been given printouts detailing what students get off at what stop.
