An introduction to my Testimony, from Atheist to Disciple of Jesus

This is a brief introduction to my God story. God has worked marvelously over the last 20 years in my life. I am finally now going to share my story with believers to encourage them in their faith. And with unbelievers to help many come to know Jesus Christ. Thanks for watching. Please subscribe. Also visit us at Godfmtv.com, godfmtv on youtube, facebook and twitter.

No Greater Love

Levi Benkert was playing with his children in the park when he received an urgent phone call from a friend asking him to drop everything and fly to Ethiopia to help organize a rescue orphanage for children destined to be murdered as part of a tribal superstition known as “mingi killings.” Moved by his friend’s story, Levi packed his bags and left for what he thought would be a short two-week trip. But upon meeting the children, Levi knew there was no turning back.

Winning Balance

Twenty-year-old American gymnast Shawn Johnson is a four-time Olympic gold and silver medalist; a national- and world-champion athlete. Already a popular role model to all ages, in 2009 she captured the national spotlight again when she won the widely popular Dancing with the Stars. Yet Shawn is no stranger to hard work and adversity.

Joel Rosenberg: Implosion

America teeters on a precipice. In the midst of financial turmoil, political uncertainty, declining morality, the constant threat of natural disasters, and myriad other daunting challenges, many wonder what the future holds for this once-great nation. Will history’s greatest democracy stage a miraculous comeback, returning to the forefront of the world’s economic and spiritual stage? Can America’s religious past be repeated today with a third Great Awakening? Or will the rise of China, Russia, and other nations, coupled with the US’s internal struggles, send her into a decline from which there can be no return?

Love Isn't Supposed to Hurt

Like millions of other women, CNN’s Headline News and truTV’s In Session anchor Christi Paul blamed herself for the emotional abuse heaped on her by her first husband, whose violent, profanity-laced tirades left her feeling as though she had no value, no self-worth, and nowhere to turn for help.

Then one day, when Christi was taking refuge in a church parking lot, the verse “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” popped into her head. In that moment, she realized she did have someplace to turn after all. Holding fast to her faith, Christi began the arduous process of rebuilding her self-image and regaining control of her life.

The Daily Pulse (Friday, June 22, 2012): Taking a break

Daily Pulse - Genesis 2:2-3 By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.

Lost in Space: The Teen Years

Sometimes raising teenagers can be like sending an astronaut into space. You may remember the very early space probes launched from Cape Canaveral in the 1960s that created anxiety for the safety of the astronaut. It was especially intense when the spacecraft was re-entering the earth's atmosphere.

Diffusing The Teenage Time Bomb

Parents need to make a concerted effort to build bridges to their kids, starting very early to have fun as a family, laughing and talking and doing things that bond the generations together. That's the best way I know to disarm the teenage time bomb before the fuse is lit.

Discipline Is Like A Battery

You know, there are those who believe so strongly in the value of positive thinking that they see nothing to be gained from that which is negative. Well, I respectfully disagree. It's the balance between the positive and the negative that provides the benefit. Let me illustrate.

Twenty Days to 20 Years

Our Anniversary was on June 20th. It was our 20th Anniversary. So, for the first 19 days, I made a post on Facebook teelling my wife something I loved or admired about her each day. Day 20, I posted this video...

Crossing the Barbed-Wire Fence

Isn't it strange how when we're disturbed over some family problem, we sometimes choose the most obscure or roundabout ways of saying so. I saw a good cartoon recently that showed a double bed to which the wife had nailed vertical two-by-fours to both the headboard and the footboard right in the middle. Then she'd strung barbed wire from one end to the other.

Quest of the Keys

Quest of the Keys, a new fantasy fiction book by author and leadership coach Scotty Sanders, which tells an intriguing and adventurous story while imparting personal development and success principles for young adults.

"Quest" tells of the journey of Decklen, a young man who left home in disgrace only to narrowly escape slavery and death in the Minca Silver Mines. Sworn to return for those he left behind and joined by an unlikely sojourner, he sets out for the majestic realm of Leonesse. Before striking out on his new journey, Decklen receives assistance from the sage Octavius. But rather than swords and strategy, Decklen is presented a locked golden cylinder containing an ancient scroll. Tasked with opening the scroll, Decklen and his companion find themselves on an unexpected path of danger and discovery, in search of hidden keys that unlock the true secrets to success…and determine the fate of an entire kingdom.

The Daily Pulse (Thursday, June 21, 2012): EMZ gets a job!

Daily Pulse - 1 Thessalonians 4:11 Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you...

Anticipating Probles in Marriage

There are some facts of nature that never fail to astound me. For instance, did you know that before it snows, fir trees will retract their branches so the weight of the snow they'll have to bear is reduced?

Teenage Attitudes

There are two powerful forces that overtake kids in the early pubescent years and account for at least some of the strange behavior that drives parents crazy. The first is social in nature, with incredible pressures being inflicted on adolescents by the peer group.

Mastering Joy: My Journey to Find God

After I had life-saving surgery I decided that I needed to establish a relationship with God, because I didn't have a satisfactory one. I wrote for 30 days while I was convalescing about all that kept me from knowing my Creator. It is some powerful, and painfully honest inspirational reading...

A Tribute to My Uncle Beto

When my uncle Beto died it was bitter-sweet. We all knew he was dancing with in the angels and in the arms of Jesus but we also knew he would be greatly missed. He reminded us that God is good and love is unconditional. No matter what kind of mood you were in his smile and excitement that you came made you so happy. Beto always made me feel like I was the one with the handicap not him - He was full of joy, innocence, and love!

The Daily Pulse (Tuesday, June 20, 2012): Staying in God's Word

Daily Pulse - John 15:4 Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
