This is the story of Addison Bridges. He was a 2 year old from N.C. who was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor. He battled it for 13 months at St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Thanks to faith and prayer, he came out cancer-free. I am a school teacher in Addison's hometown, but I wrote the song THE FAITH because his fight inspired me so much. I have made the song available to download so I could give back to St Jude's. I have no doubt they saved Addison's life. Christian needs dozens of surgeries until he reaches 30 y/o. Some of his surgeries will be out of state that his insurance won't cover. He also uses a feeding tube to eat. He is still learning to walk due to a club foot when he was born.
Lacey wrote in her blog.. "I have spent the last 6 months researching & setting up consultation appointments w/ new hospitals, all out of state, to try to find Christian the absolute best care possible, with doctors who will treat him as if he is their own child when he is under anesthesia & the knife. Christian is still facing 20, 30, maybe even 40 or 50 surgeries in his lifetime, and I want a doctor who is going to do the VERY BEST job possible w/ absolutely nothing being done unnecessarily and no mistakes being made. Christian can't afford unnecessary surgery."
