something royal is coming

Church leaders nationwide are being asked to set aside time in their services on Sunday, November 4th, to read Decree for America, a written proclamation in direct opposition to the official 2012 platform of the Democratic Party. Ratified by majority vote, the highly contentious, written decree of the Democratic Party seeks three radical changes from their 2008 platform that will, no doubt, have repercussions in the United States and across the globe:

1) Taxpayer-funded abortion
2) Legalization of same-sex marriage
3) Removal of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel

The changes and omissions in the 2012 Democratic Party platform communicate a radical agenda that purposes to enforce them as law through legal fiat. In response, the Decree for America has been established addressing the 2012 Democratic Party platform decree:

1) We decree LIFE. We decree that human life possesses intrinsic dignity from the moment of conception until death.
2) We decree TRADITIONAL FAMILY VALUES. We decree that marriage is between a man and a woman exclusively.
3) We decree an UNDIVIDED ISRAEL. We decree that Jerusalem will always be the indivisible
capital of Israel.

Decree for America strongly encourages Americans to refute the radical decrees, presented as the 2012 Democratic Party platform, by responding in two powerful ways:
1) Read and sign the online petition at www.DecreeForAmerica.com,
2) Ask church leaders nationwide to set aside time during Sunday services on Nov.4

A wonderful gospel song from one of the Gaither Gatherings. My favorite line is "God is faithful". A very simple line, I'm not a huge southern gospel music fan, but I really like Jeff & Sheri Easter. Lots of energy, lots of devotion, wonderful voices. Thank you Jeff & Sheri.

Brandy is a fairly new artist based in Charleston, SC. She has been singing since she was 14, and started out singing covers of country songs. At some point I guess she started feeling unfulfilled with that, and she switched to singing Christian music, but still with a country tinge. I heard this song, "My Hallelujah" on my local Christian radio station, and I was blown away. She is really, really good. The song was written by Marti Lynn Dodson. Wonderful message, "Holy, holy, my King forever!"

The Daily Pulse (Wednesday, October 10, 2012): "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. This is a wonderful song from Hillsong United's album "Aftermath". It was written by Joel Houston and Dylan Thomas, and sung by Jill McCloghry. The lyrics speak of submission, of tumbling towards God in an avalanche of submission.

I stumbled across the music of this young woman while browsing someone else's YouTube channel. She is very talented. I asked her if it was OK for me make a video for her song. I think she is equally as talented as Natalie Grant. Here is a song she wrote and sang. Wonderful lyrics, wonderful voice. Check our her channel:

A beautiful song from the compilation CD "The Mercy Project", from 2000. This CD was put together as a charity collaboration to support young women struggling with issues of unplanned pregnancies, substance addictions, spousal abuse, etc. It's a wonderful CD, in spite of the sobering undertones. The message in the music offers hope to the young women who have these particular burdens. Check it out. The name of the organization is "Mercy Ministries Of America".
