A comedian had a priceless comeback when he was judged by a vegan. The popular funnyman, Jonnie W., responded in the best, most hysterical way possible when his diet came under attack. Watch the short but hilarious clip to hear how Jonnie reacted when how and what he eats became a contentious part of a discussion.
No two people are exactly alike. How utterly boring would life be if that were the case? Instead, we’re all made to be individuals, not simply duplicates and carbon copies of one another. Of course, these differences and other distinguishing characteristics and traits are visible in many ways, including regarding what and how we eat.
What I love to eat and cannot get enough of may not be the same for the next person. Their taste buds might have a craving for something entirely different, and that’s fine. Additionally, other food preferences may have nothing to do with taste or dietary preferences and restrictions at all. Some may, for moral and ethical reasons, choose to avoid certain food products, such as meat or anything made from animals.
And if that’s you, that’s great. Be a vegetarian or a vegan and eat all the salads and black bean burgers to your heart’s content. But don’t if someone doesn’t want to eat that way, leave them alone. A vegan is not going to convert a meat-eater or vice versa. So, when Jonnie encountered someone who criticized him for his meat-eating ways, he had the perfect response.
In a clip posted on YouTube, Jonnie mentioned going out to eat with one of his wife’s vegan friends. They were shocked at what Jonnie was eating and tried to question him about it.
“And I’m at Cracker Barrel the other day, eating my Older Timer’s breakfast with my wife, like a gentleman,” he said. “And my wife’s friend’s staring me down the whole meal, watching me eat my piece of bacon. She’s staring at me. I can tell she’s dying to say something, you know?”
Later in the clip, Jonnie’s assumption was proven correct. His wife’s friend spoke up and commented on his decision to eat meat.
“Finally, I’m like, ‘What?’” he said. “She was like, ‘Do you have any idea how they make that?’ I was like, ‘I don’t, but you tell them they’re nailing it because this is like a hug from Jesus. I’m not kidding around. This is beautiful.’”
1 Corinthians 10:31 “So then, if it is a question of food or drink, or any other thing, whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
