Another Miracle of Sight (Part 2 of 2)

Today, we take another look at the amazing eye on today’s Creation Moments Minute.

The lens of the eye is a marvel of chemistry. It is made up of a concentration of protein molecules inside water-lined cells. When scientists learned this, they were amazed. Protein molecules in water are not transparent, as the lens must be. After more research, they discovered God’s secret. The high concentration of protein molecules in the lens of the eye causes the proteins to pack together something like the molecules of window glass. As a result, the normally opaque protein solution in the lens becomes transparent.

The eye does more damage to ideas about origins that leave out God than almost any other feature of the creation because it allows us to see the Creator’s fingerprints all around us!

Another Miracle of Sight (Part 1 of 2)

Your ability to see is nothing short of a miracle. Find out why on today’s Creation Moments Minute.

The eye is a chemical and technological wonder. It would take thousands of carefully directed mutations for an eyeless creature to develop sight. And since a partial eye doesn’t provide sight, each of these thousands of mutations would offer no advantage to the creature.

The fact is, of course, that mutations don’t happen this way. All the true mutations we know about have harmed rather than helped the creature with the mutation. This fact places the thought of thousands of positive mutations in a row outside the realm of scientifically reasonable consideration. In addition, neither living nor known fossil animals show any evidence of gradual development of eyes. Therefore, the most reasonable scientific conclusion is that there is a Creator Who designed and created the eye.

Patterns of Design

Why do chimpanzees and humans share some similar genetic materials? Find out on today’s Creation Moments Minute.

A car has an engine, doors and, of course, wheels. There are some engineering solutions to transportation problems that are clearly better than others, and no matter who makes the car, designers eventually arrive at the same solutions because they work best.

The same pattern holds true in creation. If you were designing genetic material that did one thing in one type of creature and a similar thing in a completely different type of creature, you would use the best design for both. That would result in similar genetic material in both creatures.

Similarities like these argue against the chance development of the genetic code. The same Designer Who invented the genetic code also gave us the Bible to bring us the knowledge of salvation in Jesus Christ.

Humans Copy the Creator (Part 1 of 2)

Are the things we find in nature the result of mindless evolution or were they designed? This is the Creation Moments Minute.

If, as we are continually told, mindless evolution is a fact, why is it that human technology improves when we copy designs found in nature?

Science has long known that an object moving through water or air moves with the least resistance when the ratio of its length to diameter is four to one. This ratio is found in the fastest swimmers in the sea – like the tuna, dolphin and swordfish. A Boeing 707, with a ratio of nine to one, experiences much more resistance than the larger, fatter 747, which has a ratio of six to one – much closer to the tuna and the dolphin.

Clearly, the creation itself cries out that it was created and was not the result of mindless evolution!

Could Creation and Evolution Be Telling the Same Story?

Could creation and evolution be telling the same story? Find out on today’s Creation Moments Minute.

Could theistic evolutionists be right? People who believe that God used evolution to bring about all living things claim that the Bible and evolution are telling pretty much the same story. But is this really true?

In the Bible, the Earth was made before the sun, while evolution insists that the sun existed before the Earth. Genesis tells us that sea creatures, which would include whales, were made a day before land animals. Evolution says that whales evolved from preexisting land animals. The Bible teaches that birds were created before land animals.

Evolution says that birds evolved from earlier land animals.

We could go on with still more contradictions between Genesis and evolution. It should be very clear that they are not telling the same story. Theistic evolution is wrong.

Ants Challenge Natural Selection

The ant had Charles Darwin questioning the validity of his own theory of evolution.

Darwin's problem was with the worker ants. Even though they are products of sexual reproduction, they differ greatly from their parents. They are each specialized with features their parents don't have so they can carry out their designated tasks in the nest. The problem is that these worker ants are sterile females, so they cannot pass on the traits that are unique from their parents.

Darwin never did come up with an answer to this problem, and neither have modern evolutionists. But perhaps God, in His foreknowledge, designed ant society this way to foil Darwin and those who have thought like him throughout history. Whatever the case, here is evidence that the ant neither evolved nor could have possibly evolved.

The “Uncle Dragon Country”

On today’s Creation Moments Minute, we take a trip to Uncle Dragon Country.

Historians have dismissed many allegedly ancient maps as modern forgeries because the maps show features that the ancients supposedly knew nothing about.

One of the more well-known maps is the circular Harris map from China. North America is described fairly accurately as being about 3,300 miles east to west and north to south. Ancient Chinese mapmakers were fascinated with the Columbia River system of the American Northwest because on a map it looks like the Chinese characters for the word "dragon." Because of this feature, the map calls North America "Uncle Dragon Country."

The claims that 4,000 years ago man could not have known this much about the world are based on evolution. As more becomes known, the facts of history are combining with the facts of science to disprove evolution.
