Check out this heartfelt tribute to Mandisa with the song 'Shackles (Praise You)' performed by Danny Gokey, Colton Dixon, and Melinda Doolittle.

‘Take the shackles off my feet so I can dance

I just want to praise you, I just want to praise you

You broke the chains now I can lift my hands

And I'm gonna praise you, I'm gonna praise you’

What an amazing performance from these former American Idol contestants honoring their late friend Mandisa! As the trio sings the song 'Shackles (Praise You)' with such energy and emotion, pictures of Mandisa are displayed all around the room as people clap and sway along to the music.

“That is how to celebrate Mandisa!” says Ryan Seacrest as he walks on the stage at the end of the performance. “Thank you for coming back for this,” he says to the singers. Then Ryan asks Melinda about her friendship with the late singer.

“I’ve known her for over 20 years. We started off singing background in sessions together,” shared Melinda. “And then she got on Idol, and I cheered for her. And then I came the next season, and she cheered for me. That is my girl.”

Many people online were touched by the heartwarming tribute from Danny Gokey, Colton Dixon, and Melinda Doolittle.

“Thank you American Idol for getting this right and honoring Mandisa, her beliefs, and love for Jesus with a song by artists who believe the same,” writes one person on YouTube after watching the video.

“So great to see these idols together - Colton Dixon, Danny Gokey, and Melinda Doolittle!” comments another person online. “She was a great friend to Mandisa for over 20 years! Beautifully done! Rest in Heaven Mandisa!”

Christian Couple Chilling 'Breathe' Duet

Listen to this beautiful duet of the song ‘Breathe’ from a talented Christian couple, Caleb + Kelsey.

‘This is the air I breathe, this is the air I breathe

Your holy presence living in me

This is my daily bread, this is my daily bread

Your very word spoken to me’

The couple is sitting in pews in a church singing this wonderful worship song together, and their vocals and harmonies sound incredible. The song ‘Breathe,’ made popular by Michael W. Smith, talks about needing God’s presence and grace in our lives, just like we need air in our lungs. Caleb + Kelsey’s song performance really brought out the message that the lyrics convey.

Caleb and Kelsey Grimm are the husband-and-wife duo known as Caleb + Kelsey. They are known for their original arrangements of modern worship songs, Christian hymns, and duets of some of the most popular love songs. They are from Nashville, TN, and have several #1 selling albums. And their fan base online just keeps on growing!

“I loved this song in the 90s, and I love it again, thanks to you guys! I love everything you both do!” shares one fan on YouTube after watching their ‘Breathe’ music video.

As for the history of the song ‘Breathe,’ it was written by Marie and John Barnett during a spontaneous moment of worship at their church.

"We had been singing ‘Isn’t He’ by John Wimber," Marie Barnett shared, "and my husband continued to play. I was so enthralled with Jesus at that moment, thinking I could never live, I could never even take a breath, if I didn’t have a word from Him every day. And I heard those words—‘This is the air I breathe. This is my daily bread’—and I started singing them." And before she knew it, the congregation had joined her in singing those words.

We hope that you enjoyed listening to Caleb + Kelsey’s cover of ‘Breathe’ today!

The Kingdom Here Touch Hearts With 'Amazing Grace' And 'Give Me Jesus' Covers

An unbelievably talented group of musicians, The Kingdom Here, turned in astounding and heartfelt covers of “Amazing Grace” and “Give Me Jesus.”

If there is music, there will be musicians performing covers. That is a tradition and practice that is not going away anytime soon. People love the original versions of songs, but sometimes it’s nice to hear different takes and interpretations of classic, beloved songs. Sometimes, you may even like another musician’s version of a timeless tune.

Every musician and band covers a handful of popular songs at one point or another in their career. There are a ton of versions of “Sound of Silence,” “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” “Hallelujah,” and “Unchained Melody.” It’s understandable why all those songs have been covered so heavily. They are classics that you can play, and everyone instantly knows them right from the opening notes.

However, one song has arguably been covered more than any other: “Amazing Grace.” It feels and sounds like there are thousands of covers of that beloved hymn. Some are better than others, of course.

In a clip posted on YouTube, The Kingdom Here provides their take on “Amazing Grace” and “Give Me Jesus.” Their performances of those classic tunes are fantastic, but their version of “Amazing Grace” is particularly noteworthy. It’s likely one of the best covers of that song, in my opinion.

The bluegrass/country sound combined with the upbeat tempo makes this one you'll want to hear repeatedly.

“Amazing grace! How sweet the sound

That saved a wretch like me!

I once was lost, but now am found

Was blind, but now I see”

On their YouTube channel, The Kingdom Here describes themselves as a “traveling family worship band” who seek to use their musical abilities to worship Jesus and “help people see the goodness of God.”

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

I Miss Jesus at Christmas by Dan and Sandy Adler - Official Video

This is a jazz Christmas song that talks about how, for most people, Christmas has nothing to do with the birth of Christ. It's been displaced by fictional stories like Santa and Rudolph and other cartoon characters. I love the lights and the fun stories and traditions of the season, but it is a tragic and deceptive thing when the celebration of the most amazing wonder of history is replaced by silly fictional stories - thus making the birth of Christ seem like the lesser fictional story of the season. Don't miss Jesus at Christmas! Sung by Dan & Sandy Adler from the Christmas album 'It Was Long Foretold' available to order or download at www.danandsandyadler.com/music-store Produced by Dan Adler. Drums by Tim Zhorne. Piano by Peter Shu. Guitar and bass by Dan Adler

He's Not Lyin' There by Dan Adler - Official Video

C.S. Lewis said that, because of what Jesus said about Himself, He was either a liar, a lunatic or the Lord - as He said He is. His resurrection is the proof that what He said about Himself is true. He wasn't lying when He said He'd rise from the dead because He's not lyin' there! We're not Gonna Hide- Lyric Video

One thing that binds all Christians together is our mutual admission of being sinners and needing a Savior. Yet we tend to want to hide our failures from one another and look better than we are. We then tend to struggle with our sins in isolation - which is where the devil thrives and keeps us struggling alone in sin and shame. But we weren't meant to walk this road alone. In James it says to confess our faults to one another and pray for one another that we might be healed. We don't have to hide from one another or God. Together we can grow stronger as we live in honest, humble true Christian community. From the CD 'Songs for the Battle' available at www.danandsandyadler.com, iTunes and CD Baby.

Firm Foundation' Cody Carnes Moving Live Performance

Check out this moving live performance as Cody Carnes sings ‘Firm Foundation.’ The song is a favorite during Sunday morning worship, assuring Jesus’s followers that our Heavenly Father is always there for His children!

The message in ‘Firm Foundation,’ co-written by Cody Carnes, Chandler Moore, and Austin Davis and released in 2021, is simple. When we put our trust in Jesus, we will never be alone. Regarding the inspiration behind ‘Firm Foundation,’ the 35-year-old singer, songwriter, and worship pastor said, “The world can be in chaos all outside our windows, but when we build our house on Jesus, we can have confidence knowing that our foundation is secure. We’re not going down!”

Cody and the five talented musicians who join him on stage are joyful and passionate, as are the throngs of worshippers in the audience. They raise their hands and lift their voices to Jesus. It is a goose-bump-inducing and skin-tingling 8.5 minutes of worship.

At 6.0, Cody and the band move right into another equally inspiring song. They sing ‘Great Are You Lord,’ written by All Sons and Daughters. Here are the first four lines of ‘Great Are You Lord:’

‘You give life, You are love

You bring light to the darkness

You give hope, You restore

Every heart that is broken’

Teachers recognize that students learn differently—unique learners require different approaches to help them comprehend the material being taught. Sometimes, it’s like that in church. Different types of ministers and music connect or resonate with various believers.

Some prefer the two rousing worship songs in this live video. And, others enjoy the quieter, more formal old hymns like ‘Great is Thy Faithfulness’ and ‘How Great Thou Art,' which have similar messages and meanings to those performed by Cody Carnes and crew.

One thing is for sure. As much as worshiping fills our souls, our Father in Heaven loves it more! When our voices are raised in praise, He is delighted!

Let’s never fail to sing praises to God, because He is faithful, and He is great!

“God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1:9

We All Sing Hallelujah - Lyric Video

Jesus Christ, offers salvation to humankind from every tribe, tongue and nation - tearing down the walls of separation and making us into a new nation that is united by it's mutual submission to Him and acceptance of forgiveness and newness of life through His death and resurrection. Now we all sing 'Hallelujah!' together - with hope, joy, gratitude and worship to the only worthy One, Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach, the Lamb of God. From the CD 'Listen to the Sound' by the Heart of the City Band, featuring Sandy Adler on lead vocal and penny whistle. Written by Dan Adler. Available at www.danandsandyadler.com, CD Baby, iTunes, Amazon and most mp3 sites.
