Candace Cameron Bure Celebrates ‘Miracle’ Grandson Born 10 Weeks Early

Actress, author, podcast host and outspoken Christian, Candace Cameron Bure is officially celebrating becoming a first-time grandmother after her son Lev and his wife, Elliott Bure, recently welcomed their first child.

In a recent Instagram post, Elliott announced the birth of her son, Bond Leo Bure, who was born on Aug. 4, 2026, about 10 weeks earlier than her expected due date.

“Welcome baby boy!!!! BOND LEO BURE. 8.4.2026 🤍🦁,” she captioned the post. “Bond was born 10 weeks early at exactly 3 lbs. and was transferred immediately to the NICU — through lots of tears, countless prayers, and what felt like endless hours in the hospital, 5 weeks and 5 days later we finally brought our miracle boy home!!”

“Thank you to the entire staff of nurses and doctors who took the most incredible care of our baby, and to our community who we couldn’t have done any of it without!” she added. “Thank you Jesus for every answered prayer!!!!! we are blessed beyond measure!!!!”

Candace Cameron Bure, 50, who started as DJ Tanner in "Full House" and "Fuller House," also celebrated the news, describing her newborn grandson as “a miracle baby,” People reported.

“Bond Leo is a miracle baby,” Bure posted, “Our hearts could not be more full of love. You and Lev are the most amazing parents - and we are here for every minute of it. We love you all sooooooo much”

However, Candace wasn't the only recognizable name to congratulate the couple on their latest addition to their family. "Touched by an Angel" actress Roma Downey responded to the Instagram post with three heart emojis. Also, one of Candace's "Fuller House" castmates, Andrea Barber, wrote, "Absolutely precious. Welcome home, Bond!"

Meanwhile, Candace's oldest daughter, Natasha, and her husband, Bradley Perry, are expected to welcome their first child soon as she is nine months pregnant. Earlier this year, Cameron Bure told Today.com that becoming a grandma is something she prayed about and chose her grandmother's name as “Candy Gram.:

“This is just the sweetest season,” she told the outlet in May 2026. “I’ve dreamed and prayed about being a grandma, and now it’s actually happening.”

“I already find myself thinking about all the traditions and memories we’ll get to create and thanking the Lord for this gift. Candy Gram is ready and waiting!”
